A: If you're talking about height it's about 2 in minimum depth, maximum of 2 and 1/2 in deep. Handle is about 1/2 in protrusion into lid.

The manufacturer glues a plastic tab of the covers so that they can be displayed on a rack in the store. The tab is thin plastic and is almost impossible to remove, and once removed leaves a lot of glue residue (which cannot be health to infuse your food with). So you have a choice, leave the tab of, which will probably melt in the microwave, or ugly glue residue, which I imagine both of which will outgas substances).

Firstly, the price of this cover is nice, BUT it's way too short. If you're heating anything higher than 1", the top of the lid will sit on the food. Secondly, the handle on the top of the cover is also too short and it has no ridges or anything to help grip. It could also be just a bit wider. If you have a large plate the cover won't fit and will sit on top of the plate loosely, rather than covering it completely. Aside from that it's easy to clean and very light weight.
