A: Since this comes with replacement bulbs, technically they are removable. If you choose to replace the clear lights with blue ones, we recommend purchasing blue bulbs with the same wattage. Thank you

We bought this star for my daughter's pink tree. The tree is artificial, so not as thick or sturdy as a real tree, but we've had no problems with the star staying atop the tree. She's had the star for a few years now, and has had no problem with the lights burning out. And she keeps it plugged in 24/7. Have to replace it this year because my husband stepped on it XD I couldn't think of putting any other star on top of her tree!

Perfect except for the cone to attach it to the tree...I prefer the clamp type to put on an artificial. But I have a clamp from the treetopper that died on me, so all is good.
