I am sure the ingredients are great but the capsules are way too large. Am afraid to take them out of fear they will get stuck in my throat!

This is the best price I found on calcium hydroxyapetite, which is the type of calcium that deposits in the bones instead of in the arteries, and that therefore is recommended against osteoporosis.

Osteoporosis runs in my family and I'm post-menopausal...therefore osteopenic. Most calcium supplements feel like I swallowed rocks. This one is so easy on my stomach and my bone density is good.

I am impressed by the type of calcium in here that it's digestible versus oyster compounds. Being it's powder form in a capsule means less work on the body to absorb

I believe that NOW Foods' CALCIUM HYDROXYAPATITE is an excellent product. Right here on Swanson's website, this product is called a 'Bioavailable Calcium Source.' Paraphrasing the product description. . . . 'High Collagen Microcrystalline Hydroxyapatite is the actual form of calcium found naturally in bone tissue. It provides both the organic and inorganic constituents found in the skeletal structure.' That is the kind of nutritional supplement I want to take. I do take 4 of these capsules with my other bedtime minerals and supplements, and sometimes 1 or 2 in the morning. Works for me. I can easily and enthusiastically recommend this MICROCRYSTALLINE CALCIUM HYDROXYAPATITE product from NOW Foods. BIOAVAILABILITY.

Calcium Hydroxyapatite is one of my two favorite forms of Calcium to take in pill form. This excellent product from NOW gives me Phosphorus along with Calcium, as it occurs in bones. Just as it states in Swanson's website material, Calcium Hydroxyapatite is a Bioavailable form. My other favorite way to take Calcium in pill form is Swanson's Coral Calcium. I find both products excellent, but with a major difference. Calcium Hydroxyapatite is combined with Phosphorus. Coral Calcium is combined with Magnesium. I want to take both Phosphorus and Magnesium with my Calcium. From all that you and I have read about Calcium and its usage in the body, there are other nutrients that benefit the utilization of Calcium, such as Vitamins K2 and D3. I take those, as well. When I get my Calcium supplementation from Hydroxyapatite, I also take Magnesium. Swanson has several Magnesium products that I like and use. Personally, I like to take at least 1,000 mg. of Calcium daily. With this NOW brand Calcium Hydroxyapatite product, this means I take 4 capsules daily. With Swanson's Coral Calcium product, I also need to take only 4 capsules daily to give me my 1,000 mg. dosage. I took Swanson's Calcium Hydroxyapatite product, Boneology, also. I like that product. . . . However, it takes 6 of those Boneology capsules to get 1,000 mg. of elemental Calcium. Since I take such a large and comprehensive nutritional supplement program, I do what I can to keep the number of tablets and capsules to a minimum. So I opt for the formulas in 4 rather than 6 capsules. I like to take my Calcium, Phosphorus, Magnesium, K2 and D3 at bedtime. I take many other nutritional supplements at different times during the day. Works for me.

After years of buying, trying and throwing away unused calcium that made me miserable, I finally found NOW Calcium Hydroxypatite Caps. No problems with these!

Found this form of calcium helps with nail growth; however, it is more expensive than other forms of calcium. The NOW product is about the only better value that I have found.

This supplement is easy to take either in the capsule or out . It should be taken with magnesium for best results .
