I have been using NOW Pine Bark Extract for a few weeks and it appears to be having some positive effects on arterial blood flow and pressure, similar to Pycnogenol. I intend to test it for a longer period of time and evaluate it alongside Pycnogenol, which costs considerably more. On-line research regarding Pinus Massonia is limited, therefore caution and testing is needed before I would endorse it completely.

It works. This dosage, combined with 1000mg of l-arginine daily does the trick. I’ve never been one to trust supplements, but if it works, it works. It didn’t affect my blood pressure, but my circulation is a-ok. I feel like a pole vaulter now :)

I am pleased with the price and the dosage, but have no way to evaluate its effect on my body. I am taking it to normalize my blood flow, since I have a fib, but since I ordered it I have greatly reduced my intake of foods high in oxalates, and as a result,Good value the a fib has almost disappeared.

I saw first hand years ago how adding Pine Bark to my Vitamin C intake affects multiple facets of good health! The price of Swanson Vitamins Pine Bark is a small fraction of the price of the "Patented" brand of Pine Bark, and is JUST as effective!

We have been taking pycnogenol for several years and did not like the prices in stores. Then we found Swanson's brand that saved us a lot. I discovered the pine bark extract is a generic name for pycnogenol, but at a much lower price. I have been taking it for 6 months or longer and can tell no difference. The savings is significant. It is highly recommended by reputable doctors.

I really like this product. It is not the branded product Pycnogenol, but it comes from a tree very rich in similar substances, and its potency is high for far less cost. I use it in conjunction with Swanson's high potency bilberry extract, just one a day of each, and I see an improvement in my eyes. I will definitely buy this again.
