Solutions Shea Butter by Now Foods - 7 oz Butter

I use this to make homemade deodorant. It is emollient, non-irritating and has no fragrance, which is exactly what I need.

Works well but grainy and a little hard to rub in

NOW has the best shea butter that I've found. The package doesn't specify but this seems to be a refined shea butter. I used it to make hand cream by following a recipe I found online. It has a very mild, neutral, barely-there scent which could accurately be called unscented. I like that it is not perfumey in any way. My 15-year-old son has used it to successfully treat his eczema. He was convinced he was going to need to go the dermatologist and get a prescription but I convinced him to try this shea butter first. He had to admit — it worked! His hands and wrists were 99% better after applying it daily for a week. He was astounded by how well it worked to combat the redness and dryness he was experiencing. This shea butter also works nicely as a lip balm, especially on dry, windy days. One tip I have is to wash & dry your hands, then place a nickel-sized bit of this shea butter between dry palms, rubbing vigorously together to melt the shea butter. There will be tiny 'beads' of solidified shea butter that will melt and absorb into the skin more easily once they are warmed. It is pure shea butter, but there will be tiny white 'beads' of it that may take a little longer to soften/ melt and spread easily into the skin, those bits just need to be warmed and they will disappear. This stuff is lovely!

Great Product and a great price. I use it everyday after my shower and it keeps my skin soft all day long. You have to be patient with it, it is a thick cream and you have to take a small amount and work it into your hands before putting it on your arms and legs but it goes far and really seems to nourish the skin.

Didn't care too much for this product and I happen to like NOW products. This was gritty and I had several family members try it. We couldn't figure out what the grit was from. I had to melt it down in a double boiler and attempt to whip it into a smoother consistency. A lot of work but I wasn't going to throw it away.

I give this product 4 stars because when I opened the jar, it looked like grits. I melted it down and now it’s perfectly smooth just like I like it. It’s a great moisturizer for the body, leaves my skin feeling soft & protected from harsh weather!

I have used NOW Shea Butter as a face moisturizer for years. It is a great product. I live in the desert where it is very dry. Shea Butter keeps my face soft. I also use it on my hands.

Purchased this last month and using with my essential oils. It is a great product; very smooth and creamy. Serves my purposes well.

Have used Shea Butter for quite a few years as I find it is very good for skin care. The Shea Butter I now get at Swanson (NOW brand) is of excellent quality and well priced.

Love the Shea butter! It’s really moisturizes and doesn’t have a smell so it’s good to blend with your favorite oils.

Shea Butter does a great job moisturizing, but it is not for people in a hurry. It is grainy at room temperature, but spreads on smoothly once warmed up. I open the jar and hold it under a light bulb until it is soft enough. You also have to wait a few minutes for it to be absorbed into your skin.

Shea butter is excellent for your skin and very reasonable. Jar last a long time

This is my new facial moisturizer and I like it better than cocoa butter now. A little goes a long way and it never feels oily. It absorbs into my skin without looking greasy or shiny.

I was not pleased with the unyielding texture of this product. I had to use a flat edged knife to get the product out of the container. After that it would not spread evenly on my skin, but clumped.

Great for skin especially for the extremities of body Like toes and fingers.

I love this shea butter! I use it all over my body after I shower. Sometimes I mix it with coconut oil and essential oils to make my own hand and body lotion. It stays on all day, even when I wash my hands.

This is a great shea butter and works well on my skin to soften and moisturize. It is a few dollars less expensive than another brand I have used, works as well and will be my choice from now on.

I'm germ-phobic, so I wash my hands constantly. Consequently, I have to moisturize them a lot. I love this shea butter for moisturizing my hands/cuticles. It's soft enough to apply easily and absorb well; and it has a nice shea butter scent. My dog loves it, too. As soon as I apply it he goes crazy licking my hands. What up with that?

This is the best shea butter I've used. Unlike so many, it is smooth and creamy with no granules. It nourishes dry, flaky skin quickly.
