I have a gluten free house because of lots of celiacs! This flour is the best: 24 ounces white rice flour 7.5 ounces brown rice flour 7 ounces potato starch 3 ounces tapioca starch 2 tsp xanthan gum Everything is from Bob's Red Mill except the Xanthan gum is from NOW foods (and now I know how to spell it :) ). This makes great flour. We substitute it in all our recipes.

I needed a thickener for soups and this one finally does the trick. It works a lot like cornstarch but since I don't eat corn or flour anymore I was at a loss for a good thickener. I'm very happy with this one.

This is a quality Xanthum gum product. I'm as happy with it as the name brands. I use it in gluten free baking (I bake bunches of breads# It works great along with guar gum in my smoothies and my fruit ice creams. I love freezing bananas in chunks, putting 2 in the blender with 1 level teaspoon guar gum or xanthum gum, about 1/2 to 2/3 cup almond milk #or milk) 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and a little sweetener to taste. YUMMY Ice Cream!!! I've also used strawberries and omitted the vanilla, but you could probably use any fruit. Why use the guar gum or xanthum gum? Because, when you go to freeze any leftovers, they'll freeze solid. The guar gum & xanthum gum keeps them like ice cream. Read the ingredients on your ice box next time. It's what they use.

A half teaspoon of this is all that's needed to thicken up a runny protein drink.. I mix my protein drink up in a blender with ice to chill it and thicken it a bit, then when completely mixed, I add 1/2 teaspoon of this product with the blender set on high..It only takes a few seconds to thicken it.. It creates a thick, creamy malt/shake like drink.. Plus the added bonus of fiber... Great price on Swanson's, too..

I have used this in my gluten free bread and gingersnap recipes and it has a wonderful texture. The price just can't be beat. I bought two bottles because I bake A LOT and I am looking forward to making many more items for my family. It comes in an airtight bottle and stores beautifully in its own packaging in the pantry. What was very cool about this particular purchase was I was able to use my rebate certificate from a previous purchase, so the two bottles were actually FREE with my coupon and all I had to do was pay for the shipping. I will buy this product again.

Wow, I just recently learned about Bob's Gluten Free All Purpose Flour and using XANTHAN GUM with it, and I'm saying so-long to the coconut flour that I haven't cared too much for! The Xanthan Gum is great and works fabulously with the above flour. I made easy biscuits to put in my chicken pot pie stew, and I'm so happy because I can now make biscuits again! I had to give them up for a few years because of not wanting to use wheat flour and having no other appropriate ingredients to make good biscuits.
