We do not have a seal on the inside (where the product actually comes out), however, there is a tamper seal on the outside (connecting cap to bottle). I thought it was just me but I see other complaints about inability to twist for more product. Exactly how much product is in the tube we can't see. I plan to cut it in half to find out once I can't use anymore.

Despite the plastic-coated appearance of the Jumbo Eye Pencil, it can be sharpened with a cosmetic sharpener. Our Jumbo Eye Pencil would be a great product to use! For best results, turn the pencil gently in the sharpener 3 or 4 times, being careful not to apply excess pressure. After sharpening, remove all shavings from the blade edge. Your sharpener should be replaced whenever the blade has dulled and is no longer giving the expected results. We hope this information helps!

Not sure why there's so little product in what seems to be a large tube. I thought it would twist up more product. Too little product for the price. Although I liked how the product looked. I wouldn't buy again because you only get what's presented on the tip. Nothing more.

I came here to read the reviews, thinking that I was missing something. I thought, surely there's not just a half inch of product sitting on top of a huge plastic tube, right? But, nope. It really is just a bit of product on top of a big hollow plastic tube. It just amused me that every review that mentions this fact is responded to by telling them that they can sharpen it. "Sure, it's wasteful and deceptive but did you know that you can sharpen it? because you can totally sharpen it!" Oh well. I still love Nyx and will continue to use their products.

The amount of people who don’t realize you sharpen this pencil and think you just throw it out is concerning. If a pencil doesn’t twist up, it requires sharpening. Come on now.

I bought 2 shades and am not thrilled that they don’t twist to advance more product. Reviews are mixed on sharpening options so I will have to see. I’m mostly upset that the item I had shipped to me because it was out of stock was sent in a huge box with plastic packs that seems like a huge waste.

All I have to say is this, you sharpen it. I don’t understand the people who are complaining and saying that it’s a ripoff. I guess it’s a generational thing maybe. I’m 58 and we had to sharpen our pencils for a very long time. It will last a long time, but get the sharpener that they recommend and you just have to be gentle.
