[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love miso soup, so I'm looking forward to this. It smells pretty good, like miso soup and soy sauce...which is weird. Let's try it...absolutely not! It tastes nothing like miso soup, the initial flavour is bitter and just bad, followed by no taste at all. That's a disappointment, but it's a hard no for me.

On top of that it is organic and has no extra ingredients. I like that it comes in the cartons so they can be resealed if need be.

I also appreciate that it’s organic and their marine conservation program. Despite the convenience, I am a loyal fan to making miso soup the OG way with miso paste, but I appreciated being able to try this. At least you don’t have to keep this in the fridge like you do with miso paste.

The flavour is rich, umami-packed, and perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of miso and seaweed essence. It's great on its own as a warm, comforting soup, but I also love using it as a base for ramen, stir-fries, and even marinades. It's incredibly convenient - just heat and enjoy! My only wish is for a slightly larger container since I go through it so quickly. If you love Japanese-inspired flavours, this broth is a must-try!
