It was actually changed to this product that you've commented on, the "Pomade with Beeswax" and the product's consistency and color has changed from a thick white paste to a thinner light gray cream, delivering a matte finish, and no shine. I've been using old spice pomade for years. I loved it and it was perfect for my hair. I was bummed when I went to buy a new container thinking Old spice had just started selling it with less product. If I had known how horrible the new pomade was I would have never wasted my money. It's absolutely horrible. Its tacky and gets crunchy in just a couple minute. It barely even hold my hair. After applying it I tried to wash it off my hands and not only was that not easy, it still feel like its left residue. I could not recommend this product to anyone. I don't know why you would change a product that was so good to a product that is terrible. It also doesn't even smell as good as the old stuff. Just really disappointed here

And always leave a white layer on your hair. Don’t waste your money on this product. Save it and try something else instead. Way to ruin a great product Old spice! I will not recommend this to a friend.

In terms of its use, I had to use this product awhile to write an accurate review. I enjoyed the scent but took me sometime to figure out how to best use paste. It doesn't have much shine (personally I like more shine) yet its interesting to apply as its on the thicker side when integrating in hair. Even though my hair is on the shorter side, it does take time for product to move in hair and harder to disperse the thicker streaks/clumped product in section of hair. This was more of light hold for most the day so I wished it held stronger. I also noticed that my hair became a bit oily when using and had build up that was harder to wash out. I would recommend making less tacky, little lighter, and more shine.

I’ve used old spice paste for years now. They changed their formula and this new version is way too thick and leaves white residue in my hair. Don’t buy this if you think you are replacing the same stuff you’ve been buying for years.

Bring back the original paste. This newer product that was introduced within the past 2 months (with beeswax) does not hold up. Pro - does not make hair look greasy Con - does not hold up

I've used the previous "Spiffy Pomade" for years and this is not the same product. I have thick, medium length hair and the Spiffy Pomade was perfect to hold it in place without shine or feeling crunchy or stiff. It washed out easy and didn't leave a residue on my hands when I would run my fingers through it during the day. The Spiffy Pomade was easy to apply and washed off my hands easily. It was also easy with the Spiffy Pomade to add a just a little bit more to tame specific areas (crown, sides). This product makes it difficult to apply. It is too sticky, pulls my hair and it is almost impossible to apply "just a little bit more." Additionally, it leaves my hair crunchy. Now I'm left without a product that worked perfectly. Also, it seems most of the positive review are either for the old product or for new user that received it during a promotion. Most reviews I've seen of faithful, longtime users are disappointed.

Quick tip for peeps with long hair *ahem!* So using a tiny bit on sad sad ends helps make your hair look neater Also makes a CLEAN man bun with sleek sides and top. I used to work at the beach and it did help with the humidity my guess was the bees wax.
