OLFA Frosted Advantage 12.5x12.5 Inch Acrylic Ruler is non-slip for stable and safe cutting. Frosted back with black grid lines for clarity on light- and dark-material. The large bold black numbers are easy to read. The ruler has black grid lines at every inch, dotted black lines mark the half-inch and black tick marks along the solid line mark the quarters and eights. The frosted back grips in place for safe, stable cutting but repositioning for small adjustments. Great for squaring pieced blocks, cutting larger pieces, and works well as a template for pillow tops and simple square patchwork designs. Also great for fashioning scrapbook and album pages. This is my favorite ruler. The frosted feature allows you to see what you are measuring and cutting better than the other brands I have tried. I have switched all my rulers to frosted OLFA rulers, the difference is unbelievable. It also doesn't slide when cutting so the cutting is accurate which is important for quilting.

These frosted rulers from OLFA are amazing, as I can read them on every color/print in my fabric stash. This size is perfect for trimming up one's larger quilt blocks; but I've also brought this out to trim up paper when I'm crafting too. If you don't own one of these frosted rulers, you have to buy one.
