It's the best tasting pea protein that I have tried. I mix it with unsweetened vanila almond milk and a 1/4 cup of a mixture of blueberries and cranberries. I stay full for over 3 hours. High protein and low carb which works well for me.
I don't care for the taste.

I don't care for the taste. The formula is different than it was several years back. It is chalky now. Not my favorite.

I had been using the Olympian Labs vanilla pea protein for over 6 months. Just opened a new container this week. Not only had they changed the exterior of the container, the product is vastly changed. It looks like just the pea protein itself, no flavoring. Before the product was a pale yellow, very fine textured and powdery. Now the product is almost a dark tan, rather a lumpy texture and does not have the "old" product taste. BEWARE!

I've been using this product on a daily basis and have found it to be satisfying and fulfilling my needs when I lift weights. The taste has a good vanilla flavor. I use 1 scoop at a time which gives me 25 grams of protein. I add cinnamon, coconut oil, a fruit and ice and I'm all set. The only things I can add are: the label says 470 mg of sodium which is too much. There's 4 grams of sugar alcohol which is too high (from Xylitol). I've been counting the servings each time I start a new container and in each case there is less than 20, which is what the label says. The last one I counted was slightly over 19, but never 20 or more. As far as the Amino Acid content, the label says: "Typical Amino Acid Profile of Pea Protein", and underneath gives you the mgs for each item. But note that it doesn't say: "Typical Amino Acid Profile of Pea Protein per serving". I called up to have it clarified and the response was that it's per serving. That said, the amino acid profile is among the highest I've seen for a vegan protein powder, but I wonder if they skimp on their servings per container are they also enhancing the amino acid profile? After all, other Pea Protein products show much less. Also note that the last time I ordered this product from Swanson, they sent me one with a newly designed label. Comparing the new one to the old one, I noticed a lot of changes, some good, some bad. So you have to be vigilant and observant. Overall, it's a good product that I will continue to buy unless something comes along that's better or the price gets too high.

I like the vanilla as you can add plain greek yogurt, berries, fruits, almond milk/coconut milk just about anything will blend well and boost the taste and protein factor.

I had been taking whey protein for years. I recently switched to vegtable powders and most did not seem effective, (did not keep my blood sugar stable) would not mix, tasted terrible or all of the above. Then OL vanilla bean to the rescue! I am VERY pleased with this product.

This protein powder mixes nicely in a smoothie. When I first started using it I found the taste to be a bit overwhelming (after switching from a whey protein). It has a definite pea taste but when mixed with a banana, it tastes quite good. It gets very thick, almost a milk shake consistency. What I really like about it is that it keeps me feeling full all morning.

Either they changed the formulation or it wasn't the same product but I was really bummed when I used this. This WAS one of my favorites. The flavor and texture were not to my liking. I will never buy it again.

I've used many protein powders in my life. If you've used any other powdered protein products before, you'll be right at home with this one. It works well and tastes great. On top of that, there's the added benefit of being hypoallergenic and vegan! Not to mention that it nutritionally surpasses every other protein powder on the market in carbs, fat, calories, and sugar. If you're a health conscious individual (which, let's face it, you're trying to buy protein powder so you probably are), then this product is an excellent choice for you.

My wife and I have recently started our first diet and needed a totally sugar free (artificial included) pea/rice protein powder. This product was the only affordable product that fit the bill and we are very satisfied with the results. Has a good taste and uses Xylitol and Stevia as healthy sweeteners. We continue to use it as a meal replacement at least daily. Couldn't find a better price! You will be satisfied!

I've been looking for a vegan protein source that didn't have a bunch of weird sweeteners or additives. This is the best I've found.

I read all the pea protein reviews and thought this one was rated well. decent value, although I haven't tried other plain pea proteins. I agree, that the flavor is pretty good, much better than the NutriBiotic rice protein I also got. I like it in a green smoothie - I also use it in buckwheat pancakes. I may try some other pea proteins that are cheaper, but I am pleased with this product. other reviewers were so aversed by a pea flavor - I don't agree and like the taste.

I have consumed 3 of these containers so far and am happy with it. My teen-age sons are also lifting weights and found that they like this after workouts. We all have problems with whey powders. We have tried rice and soy proteins also, but this is our favorite. It blends better than the rice or soy -- we mix it with vanilla rice milk and the taste and texture is fine. The boys like it as they have definitely been putting on the muscle.
Excellent protein, especially for morning shakes!

For those who have decided to not consume whey proteins, this is an excellent vegan option. Because it does not contain fiber, it is an excellent choice to make a smoothie with first thing in the morning. I like using proteins that contain hemp, chia, and other fibers in them for later in the day or after a workout. But as a first thing in the morning with the Green Max Powder mixed in, this pea protein is great if you want a breakfast smoothie. I have read from various sources that consuming fiber first thing in the morning is not always best because it interrupts the cleansing process that the body is still undergoing from sleeping all night. This protein is a great way to get early morning protein, mix in powdered greens, some almond milk, and a serving of fruit in the blender and you can get some initial nutrition and keep the cleansing going until you consume fiber a little bit later. So the pea protein is best for the mornings, and then I like plant proteins like hemp and chia seed (life basics chocolate is awesome) for after workouts or later in the day.
Works like a charm :)

I orginally was using a pea and brown rice protein mix that was running over $50 for 2 pounds. I started using this protein and love the taste. I mix in a blender with juice or with fruit and juice. I tried cheaper pea proteins that left me gaging on the power due to the protein not blending well. I'm sticking to this brand! I'm going to try to mix in Brown Rice Protein to build a better amino acid profile. Since using these shakes for breakfast and after and before workouts, my body composition looks MUCH better! Try this!!
