Once folded, the crate is a mere 1.4" high for the large size and 1" thick for the medium size. Each crate of the same size can stack vertically. offered in a variety of colors and sizes to match your decor. Large size measures 15.75" x 11.8" x 5.9". Folds to only 1.4" thick. Medium size measures 11.8" x 7.9" x 4.5". Folds to 1" thick. Also available from OnDisplay is the 148pc letter sets which snap onto the side of each crate to customize them. These crates are taller than the description states. The width/length are correct though. Here are precise measurements so you don't make the same mistake I did :( Each large crate is 6-13/16" tall Two large crates stacked are 13-1/2" tall. The max *inside* height of each large crate is 6-9/16" They do fit Blurays/DVD cases very comfortably, unfortunately they do not fit my 12.5" shelves. Measurements aside, they would suit my purpose, but they are rather flexible and feel flimsy. I would not recomend them to store anything heavy.
