I used to absolutely LOVE the maple glazed donut bars because not only was it unique with no other companies offering it, it also filled the void for one of my guilty pleasures. I saw that they advertised a “new and improved” version, so I instantly thought “wow this is going to be so much better!”, but instantly found myself regretting the purchase. It’s downright awful! I don’t know how to describe the taste other than artificial with a taste of something I can’t quote put my finger on. The texture is not that far off from typical protein bars (i.e. Quest). I will truly miss this flavor, but with so many other options with better offerings, I’m going to avoid purchasing anything indefinitely.

The new recipe is awful. It’s hard to bite into. It lost its flavor. I loved this protein bar. The texture & taste were very good before this new revamp. I will not buy this bar anymore unless you go back to the original recipe.

I’ve been eating the maple One bars for probably a year or two now and always loved the strong maple flavor and subtle crunch. I would have rated them 5 stars, they were some of my favorite protein bars. But the most recent box I got says “new recipe for better flavor & texture,” except I was very disappointed with the flavor, and didn’t find the texture to be an improvement. The new flavor is bland and lacks the distinct maple taste of the original. I can’t see myself buying these anymore, and I’m also rather upset that the original is seemingly gone forever. Please bring back the previous recipe, even as a new product. It is the only one I will buy.

I was excited about the new recipe and couldn’t wait to try them! First bite, no bueno! It has less maple flavoring than before and the texture was more crunchy. They messed with perfection and missed the mark. I won’t buy another box, sadly.

As a loyal One Bar customer, I've sold everyone I know on the best protein bars on the market. That said, the change to the Maple Donut recipe has tanked the best tasting one. The texture is awful and it's harder to chew. Taste is mildly worse. Please DO NOT TOUCH LEMON CAKE if this is what you're going to do to your bars.

I have eaten ONE Bars for years with Maple Glazed Doughnut being my favorite. I just got my first box of the new receipe and it is terrible. I hate the taste, texture, everything. It's very sandy almost and the flavor is just no where near as good as the old receipe. WHY DID YOU CHANGE IT? I won't be buying them anymore, I guess I need to find a new bar.

I am not sure why you decided to change some of your bars to new recipes but they all were great the way they were before and the new recipe for each of the bar flavours, but especially the maple, are awful! The maple now has these round, brown balls in them that look and taste gross. I can’t eat most of them now. It is so hard to find protein bars that aren’t chocolate flavoured and I have loved that you’ve offered many flavour options that aren’t but I am now having to look for other options because I cannot eat the new recipe bars. Please change them back!

I’ve been buying these bars whenever I can find them and it was this flavor that led me to switch from another brand. Won’t name names but it sounds similar to a piece of gym equipment…. Anyway, the “new and improved recipe” ruined it. This was the best bar on the market and is now a dime a dozen, chalky, artificial tasting bar. Not the worst thing in the world, but a huge step in the wrong direction. Bring back the original recipe!!!

I am so sad! I don't like chocolate and finding a protein bar that tastes good without chocolate is impossible, so I have been eating the maple glazed donut bars for years. The new recipe/ingredients they use completely changed the taste, in a really bad way. Looks like it's time to find a new bar :(

I’ve been eating one bar specifically the maple doughnut three - four times a week for the last 4+ years and recently purchased what was the new formula with the new packaging/branding. I am extremely disappointed. I’m not sure why they added randomn crunch balls when the bar was fine without. But what really disappoints me is the change in formula both flavor wise and whatever they else changed with the ingredients Is causing horrible G.I. symptoms. I stopped eating them and symptoms resolved. Bought another box and the symptoms returned. Im saddened and disappointed since it’s been the only protein bar I enjoy. In summary , the changes were not necessary since there was no issue originally . I give the new formula a one star. Going back to rise bars .

The changes made are terrible. It no longer has a discernable maple flavor and the texture balls are just wrong. They are way too big and detract from the taste even further. Is the old recipe still available? I ate the maple glazed donut bar every day for breakfast and had a stash at work as well. I hate to say it when the old recipe is gone so am i.

This was the ONE! I absolutely LOVE the "original" One Maple Glazed Doughnut flavor bar! Doesn't leave a chalky taste, sweet and easy to chew. It's like eating a candy bar. I love the amount of protein and sugar. BUT WAIT...The new recipe makes the One bar taste just like the rest of the protein bars...thick, hard to chew , chalky and the flavor just ain't hitting it :( the One isn't the One anymore. PLEASE tell me the original will still be available? The original is 5 STARS! The new one...1 STAR :(

One Bar Maple Glazed Donut was my favorite protein bar on the market. It was the first protein bar I ever tried and I loved it and it was very dear to me. But I just tried one from a box that says "New Recipe for Better Flavor and Texture" and totally disagree on both counts. The flavor is bland compared to before and the texture has these terrible crunchy pieces in it. It used to have a wonderful smooth chewiness to it and really did remind you of a maple donut. The only good part is the outer glaze, because I don't think it changed. I used to buy a box every week. Unfortunately I will not be buying them at all until they bring back the old recipe. I still like and will buy some of your other bars. Thanks.

This was by far favorite protein bar! I have eaten for lunch most everyday for several years (2-3 years +). Last i opened a box and thought I got a BAD batch. Then it happened a this week. The crunch in it is terrible and there is something else different about it that also makes the flavor leas. Please go back to the old recipe! Disappointingly on the hunt for a new bar🙁 Previously i have recommended it and would have given 5 stars.

I thought I had found the PERFECT protein bar. I repeat ordered the Maple Glaze Donut flavor One bar by the dozen. The flavor and texture were perfect. Then one day I picked a box up from my grocery store and I saw “new and improved recipe.” How could you? You ruined it. For one, maple donuts don’t CRUNCH. Then I started thinking, maybe the reason for the change was Bidenflation. I’m thinking it’s just FILLER rather than crunch. Why would you ruin it? Please change the flavor back. If I’m right about the “filler” hypothesis, then maybe just make it a tad smaller. Regardless, the CRUNCH doesn’t cut it. It RUINS it. Consider firing whoever recommended this “improvement.”

Maple glazed donut has been my go to bar for years….not anymore. I may toss the rest of the box…..HORRIBLE CHANGE!!!! Have ‘sold’ so many people on how awesome….it was. Was great having an awesome tasting bar w/great stats. You guys ruined a great thing. That combo was hard to find. New recipe sucks guys. Judging by the new reviews, I’m not alone.
