Author Bio
Rebecca Yarros is the #1 New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestselling author of over fifteen novels including Fourth Wing and In the Likely Event, with multiple starred Publishers Weekly reviews and a Kirkus Best Book of the Year. She loves military heroes and has been blissfully married to hers for over twenty years. She’s the mother of six children, and is currently surviving the teenage years with two of her four hockey-playing sons. When she’s not writing, you can find her at the hockey rink or sneaking in some guitar time while guzzling coffee. She and her family live in Colorado with their stubborn English bulldogs, two feisty chinchillas, and a Maine Coon cat named Artemis, who rules them all.
Having fostered then adopted their youngest daughter, Rebecca is passionate about helping children in the foster system through her nonprofit, One October, which she co-founded with her husband in 2019. Q: Will my pre-order be delivered by Jan 21st?
A: Girl.. I think we won’t make the cut. Pre-Ordered in august and it says it’ll arrive the 26th!
submitted byIngrid - 3 months agoA: Apparently not 😫, mine is estimating to be delivered the 27th.
submitted byNugget - 3 months agoA: Mine says it won’t be delivered until the 27th. So disappointed.
submitted byAkula - 3 months agoA: Mine says it will be here the 26th and I pre-ordered in July.
submitted byKayla03 - 3 months agoA: I pre ordered mine and it won’t be here until the 27th.
submitted byBVane - 3 months agoA: Mine is being delivered from Amazon 1/22! I wasn’t able to get the deluxe edition that early, but I’d rather get the book one day after release than wait for prettier pages. I don’t understand why pre-orders could not have been picked up!
submitted byMwil - 3 months agoA: Same. I ordered in June and my delivery says January 26th. I’m beyond irritated- i wish I would have known prior that Target is not a place you should make your pre-orders from.
submitted byAshley - 3 months agoA: Preorder only guarantees you get a copy not that you’ll have it by the release date.
submitted byMe - 3 months agoA: No. Target never delivers preorders on release days
submitted byStopthehate - 3 months agoA: Apparently not guaranteed. I ordered back in August and mine says "preparing to ship" with estimated delivery JANUARY 28TH! Not okay.
submitted byJo - 3 months agoA: I ordered mine July 2024 and it says it won’t be delivered until 1/27 😑 what a failure on Target’s part.
submitted byMaggieMoonpie - 3 months agoA: Is anyone else’s still stuck in pre-shipment? It was supposed to be here in Florida tomorrow and it’s still at the UPS facility in Indiana and hasn’t shipped at all 🤦🏻♀️
submitted byBander10 - 3 months agoA: Unfortunately, no. I preordered in July and it still hasn’t shipped and it is release day (January 21st). It says expected delivery a week later on January 27th. Very frustrating. This is not the first pre-order I have received much later than the release date from target. Next time try Barnes and Noble or Amazon for on time delivery of pre orders.
submitted byAddie - 3 months agoA: No - it will be shipped then
submitted byA - 3 months agoA: no, this is because target ships out the item the day of the release to prevent people from receiving the book before it is actually released to the public
submitted bylauren - 3 months agoA: Just bought mine and it will be here on the 22nd!!! Gotta love being PATIENT!
submitted byLane - 3 months agoA: Mine says January 27th and I ordered it in may. What’s the point of preordering if we will be the last to get our books
submitted byJenna - 3 months agoA: Nope! My Iron Flame copy was delivered several days after it dropped, despite the fact I preordered the day it was announced. And, just like that order, despite the fact that I preordered Onyx Storm the very morning it was announced, it’s not expected until January 26th.

Q: So what exactly is the difference between this one and the target exclusive one ? I'm debating which to buy on release day!
A: I think it’s different sprayed edges
submitted byLily - 3 months agoA: Target exclusive has a book mark and different edge print
submitted byXener - 3 months agoA: Target exclusive has exclusive sprayed edges and extra art.
submitted byMichelle V - 3 months agoA: This one only has sprayed edges and exclusive special design features, while the target exclusive has different sprayed edges, a black bookmark ribbon, colorful endpaper, and color artwork throughout the book!
submitted byKarina - 3 months agoA: The target exclusive’s sprayed edges have a slightly different design stenciled on. The target exclusive also has a color map (this one is in black and white) and I think it also has some other artwork in the book.
submitted byKendra P - 3 months agoA: They have the exact same content. Target exclusive has a color map and other art.
submitted byA - 3 months agoA: This one is the standard deluxe with the sprayed edges (think 1st print of Fourth Wing and Iron Flame). The Target one has different sprayed edges; the title color is different, and it has a bookmark ribbon, colored endpapers, and character work throughout the book.
submitted byKayla03 - 3 months agoA: The story is the same. No bonus chapters in either one. This version has the 5 dragons on the edge and that’s all that’s special about it. The target exclusive has the one dragon on the edge, ribbon bookmark, colored map, and 5 pages of artwork throughout the book.

Q: Will there be Target stickers on this cover? Id prefer a clean copy since its a special limited edition
A: They are easily removed with the use of a cricut spatula tool. I got all mine off of my books, both paperback and hardback, this way with no issues.
submitted byJocelyn B - 10 months agoA: I have also found that taking a hair dryer to the sticker in short bursts loosens the tackiness of the sticker for easier removal. This works for pretty much any sticker.
submitted byPrylli - 4 months agoA: My pre-ordered copy of Funny Story didn’t have any stickers on it.
submitted byDaniGirl - 4 months agoA: if it has one, possibly the price sticker like the 20% off, but those aren’t hard to remove.
submitted byDede - 9 months agoA: There will be a sticker, but Rebecca Yarros said it can be easily removed.
submitted byTothemaxor - 4 months agoA: Rebecca Yarros said not to worry that the sticker comes off.
submitted byShayn - 3 months agoA: I preordered mine months ago and not it’s saying out of stock?!?
submitted byK - 3 months ago
Q: Why do we wait when preorder. We get them later than the release day..
A: The propose of a preorder is not to get the book on the day it comes out or before anyone else. It just guarantees you get a copy.
submitted byPerfect - 3 months agoA: My theory is it has to do with gauging the number of copies to be printed…
submitted byNini - 3 months agoA: Good question. Mine will be here the 26th. I've never had this happen with a pre-order. I'm going to try to get this one or the Target edition when they drop for pick up from store.

Q: How many character will be dying in this book? And how many of them are good or bad characters?
A: You'll have to wait until the bool gets released and read it to find that out !
submitted byIlovebooks - 10 months agoA: Start buying tissues now.
submitted byABlackthorne - 10 months agoA: Don’t get too connected to any one character. One minute they’re there, and the next, they fall off a cliff and die (or do they…???)
submitted byBphishy - 10 months agoA: 4 of them die actually. I read an advanced copy.

Q: Will Rebecca Yarros sign my copy if I buy the Delux pre-order at Target?
A: Yup. Regardless where you buy from, if you meet her when she’s signing, she’ll sign whatever books you ask
submitted by - 3 months agoA: Rebecca Yarros has said she won’t be doing signings to protect her hands. Even at the book tour she isn’t signing anything. All the signed books I’m assuming are machine signed.
submitted byMichelle V - 3 months agoA: Sure, if you meet her I am sure she'd be happy to sign any copy you have.
submitted byRenny - 4 months ago
Q: Will the bonus content be available for the hardback or is it only available for the paperback version?
A: Bonus content is always on her website. I know that it will be in her hardback version but not sure about paperback.
