Tonight I went to target to buy me an electric toothbrush when I got home I seen that the toothbrush was open and had been used. I don't understand why this wasn't caught with a toothbrush was returned, and I don't understand why it was put back on the floor.

Excellent, hefty toothbrush

I've used the Clic toothbrush for a couple of years now and I love it. It cleans very well and it's ergonomically designed. I love the magnetic holder as well! One thing I really like, but others may not, is the weight. It's much heavier than a standard plastic manual toothbrush, but this is part of why I like it so much better. It feels great in my hand.

What's with the texture?

A couple months ago, I bought a Colgate Keep starter pack because I liked the idea of a manual toothbrush with replaceable heads, but I had to throw it out because of the texture on the head (not the bristles, but the metal head itself). Then I tried this product, and I was bewildered by the presence of the same bumpy texture on the metal head. Why does it have to be bumpy? Why can't it be smooth like every other toothbrush that I've ever used? I can't stand the sensation of the brush head grinding against my teeth if I accidentally rub it against them.
1 reply from Customer Care team - 7 months ago
We're so very sorry to hear about this. When using our Oral-B Clic, we expect you to have an exceptional brushing session. You should feel the bristles against your teeth and not the brush itself, so we'd love to make a report to our team and see if there's a brush you may prefer more. Please call us at (800) 566-7252.

Disapointed

Mar - 11 months ago, Verified purchaser
I wanted to like this toothbrush, and even bought it twice to be sure, but will not be purchasing or recommending this toothbrush. It lasts for 2 weeks before the bristles start wearing out and spreading and I have never dealt with any of my toothbrushes doing this. I use Colgate whitening toothbrushes from target and will continue to do so. This is the toothbrush after four brushes and I am not a harsh brusher at all.
1 reply from Oral-B team - 11 months ago
We're disappointed to hear this, Mar. With the many quality tests these brushes are put through, this isn't something we'd expect. While this bristle splaying in some cases may be a result of brushing too hard, our team would like to learn more. So we can gather some product information, we ask that you please give us a call at (800) 566-7252.

I have been using this same toothbrush for years and I love it. I agree with other poster about reduced waste because you only discard the head. I do not agree with others saying the head splits or wears too quickly. That sounds like it is more related to how intensely they are brushing. I do not aggressively brush as that can actually damage your gums but to each their own, just know that I assure you that is a factor. So if you brush really hard, don’t get this toothbrush but otherwise I think it is a great brush. Love the magnet for clean space on my counter and I’ve never had a problem with it magnetizing. It’s pretty and does the job. Not sure what else you can ask for from a manual toothbrush.

I bought this toothbrush because I was actually looking for a toothbrush holder and found it came with a magnet to stick to the mirror. I’ve had no problems with the magnet or with the bristles. I love this toothbrush. My husband even copied me and got one as well.

We designed this brush to clic with you and your oral routine, so be assured this isn't the experience we expect you have. We do numerous tests to ensure this, but please keep in mind that bristle wear and tear can be caused by things like the age of the brush, and if too much pressure is used. Regardless, we'd like to collect some details for our Quality Team and assist you with this. We can be reached by dialing (800) 566-7252.

I was appealed by the matte black and it does look great. The one star is for appearance. However I used the toothbrush TWICE and bristles were coming out in my mouth and has already parted down the middle. It is definitely made cheap and I do NOT recommend!!
1 reply from Oral-B team - 2 years ago
The last thing we expect you to deal with while brushing is loose bristles, so we're sorry to hear about your experience. While it's possible it may not be up to our quality standard, things like the age of the brush and how hard you're pressing can all play a role in why that is occurring. Using less pressure and a new brush head may help, but because we take reports and your experience seriously, we'd like to hear from you about this. Please call us at (800) 566-7252.

I started using Oral B’s clic toothbrush two years or so ago. I haven’t gone back to anything else. I love the replacement heads. To have a toothbrush that is trying to create a less wasteful impact is going to cost more money than cheap full brush replacements. But it is worth the extra money. The brush itself is so comfortable and easy to maneuver. I have always been tempted to try an electric toothbrush but this one is so far the best I have tried that is manual. Try it!

Our products go through many quality checks and we try our very best to ensure that each performs to our high standards. We also do our best to provide each product at a good value for our consumers. We're sorry you've found the brush heads wearing too quickly. This could be caused by brushing too hard -- too much pressure makes the bristles wear faster. Also rinsing a toothbrush under hot water, or soaking it in a solution, will soften the bristles and cause them to wear out more quickly. Dentists recommend replacing your toothbrush head every 3 months, as the bristles become frayed and worn with use which reduces the cleaning effectiveness of the toothbrush. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we’d like to learn more details to further help. Please give us a call at 1-800-566-7252 from 9AM -- 6PM EST Monday -- Friday.

This toothbrush is great for a manual. I have to say I did buy it thinking it was electric, but I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. The game changer part is the magnetic wall holder. No more messy sink toothbrush holders and impossible to place electric chargers. This pops right onto the wall and stays there. So great. Love!

Nice Build, Rough Texture

3 out of 5 stars
SJintheLight - 2 years ago
originally posted on Oral-B
It is a well built toothbrush. There is just one thing that kills it for me, the texture of the head. I don't exactly know how to put it, but if the back of the toothbrush runs against my teeth, it makes my skin crawl. This may be just an individual quirk for myself, but it makes me regret getting the toothbrush. If you're not a fan of rough textures hitting your teeth, I wouldn't pick this up.

We're very sorry you're having this experience with the Oral-B Clic toothbrush. Please know that we have your health and well-being in mind, always, and we test our products to be safe. This is not an experience we would expect to hear about. When you get a moment, could you give us a call at (800) 566-7252 so we can look into this further?

Looks great in my bathroom. The magnet to the tile on my bathroom wall is so convenient. Take up wayyy less space on my countertop , not need for a toothbrush holder. The replacement heads change to light green when it’s time to replace. But they do last longer than 3 months.
