I took my 58 to Burning Man this year. During a week of daytime temperatures in the mid to upper 90s we only added ice twice and still had ice when we got home. The pouch on the back is a nice feature. It’s built like a tank so I expect to have this cooler a long time. I’d buy again and may get another size for shorter trips.

Love my orca 58, it has been solid work horse for backyard parties to camping trips. A crack did start to form in the hinge, but the saff at orca promptly assisted me to complete the warranty process. Very much appreciated, and it's great to know they stand behind their product.

Used the 58 QT cooler for a week in the Outer Banks. Pre-cooled the cooler each night and we were able to reuse the same bag of Ice for 5 straight days. We were at the beach 9 hours a day. Super impressed with the seal on the cooler. This Orca 58 is a winner for sure!

After doing a little research, the 58 QT Orca, with excellent reviews, topped the list of coolers that would meet/exceed my needs. Have had it only a short time, but in near and above triple digit outside temps, the Orca absolutely exceeded my expectations in keeping contes COLD and keeping ice over 2-3 days in the hot sun. I am 100% satisfied and happy with my purchase.

Multiple blemishes on the cooler upon delivery. Stickers fallen off, scratches on the surface, and insulation coming out of the lid. All in all not what I expected for the price paid.

I decided on Orca, as looked the most substantial, is US made, and....I admit it. I LOVE the colors ( and I will be able to tell my cooler from others at lawn concerts, etc..)). A friend noticed it on the way out of my house and said: WHAT is this?" I replied " a special cooler". She looked it over, looked into it, and said " Oh this is an heirloom". ( Yes, my kids are ardent outdoors people, runners, backpackers). It IS heavier than I can carry alone, of course - two people on either side, no problem.

Looks like quality control needs to step it up. “Made in America” sticker fallen off upon arrival, insulation leaking out around bolt holes and seams, cooler also showed up with a minor dent. All that said, despite its second hand appearance… it keeps things cold very well and has a lot of utility on the boat.

Pre-chilled for first trip out. Hour later went to load up at local supermarket and unlatched lid but was unable to open the lid. Totally vac-sealed shut tight!!! Loosened drain cap and could hear air rush in. Was then able to open the lid. Same vac seal when I arrived home two hours later with ice cream still frozen. Well done ORCA.
