I’ve used a lot of different coolers throughout the years (yeti, orca, Cabela’s, RTIC…). This orca was right up there with the Cabela’s and yeti’s in my mind. I preferred the exterior of this orca over most other brands. The handles and positioning of the hinges and other exterior features made using the cooler better. I ran into an issue with the internal size of the cooler though. I know from previous experiences with these types of coolers that you definitely don’t get the same amount of internal space as you’d expect just from looking at the outside of the cooler. That’s why they can cool their contents so well and for so long. I feel this orca cooler was noticeably smaller than what I had expected. My wife definitely let me know too :). It was also heavier than I had anticipated. I completely understand though…these gripes I have are what contributes to the overall internal performance of the cooler. Just be aware if you’re looking to pick one of these up that they are a bit of a heavyweight in this category of coolers. My gripes are also what make this orca cooler so solid, high performance and high quality. For reference, we use this cooler primarily for kids sports events and weekend tournaments in the summers. We’ve used the cooler for 3 camping trips and it was the go-to for the “cold beverage cooler” in our group.

I took my 58 to Burning Man this year. During a week of daytime temperatures in the mid to upper 90s we only added ice twice and still had ice when we got home. The pouch on the back is a nice feature. It’s built like a tank so I expect to have this cooler a long time. I’d buy again and may get another size for shorter trips.

Took this cooler on a weekend camping trip and was not disappointed. Kept all food and drink cold with minimal ice melting. Cooler keeps a tight seal and latches are easy to manipulate. I had to open the drain plug once to relieve the pressure to open but not a big deal. I recommend this to anyone looking for a heavy duty cooler that can provide great cooling performance.

Love my orca 58, it has been solid work horse for backyard parties to camping trips. A crack did start to form in the hinge, but the saff at orca promptly assisted me to complete the warranty process. Very much appreciated, and it's great to know they stand behind their product.

Really solid cooler. Bought this for a boat and it was able to keep things super cold for a whole day on a gallon ziplock of ice. Was a little worried that the black would struggle in the heat, but it worked unbelievably well. Quality construction and very rugged.

We love the cooler! Not too bulky, kept things cool and is sturdy. The only complaint I have is that the closures leave your hand smelling like rubber.

Used the 58 QT cooler for a week in the Outer Banks. Pre-cooled the cooler each night and we were able to reuse the same bag of Ice for 5 straight days. We were at the beach 9 hours a day. Super impressed with the seal on the cooler. This Orca 58 is a winner for sure!

Honestly I was divided between Yeti, Artic or Orca and I am glad I chose Orca. Quality is immaculate, I love the cargo pouch on the back of the cooler.
