I’m not sure who to be disappointed in — Target or Oscar Meyer. Who started advertising Uncured Hot Dogs while pulling a switch and bait with the cured hot dogs? Everyone cannot consume cancer-causing sodium nitrates. A product cannot both have sodium nitrates and be uncured.

Oscar Mayer does NOT currently use Sodium Nitrate in any of their products. The Oscar Mayer brand has always been committed to making improvements to its products for its consumers, including hot dogs.

False advertising! These “new and improved” hot dogs are not new and improved. They are the standard preservative-filled OM hotdogs masquerading as the uncured hot dogs! The ingredients list sodium nitrate. Look carefully, my friends!

Oscar Meyer are the only national brand of hot dogs without nitrates. An insidious preservative that can cause sensitivity in people much like MSG. To be clear regular Oscar Meyer has TURKEY, CHICKEN and PORK; so NO BEEF! This is why they don't taste like BEEF franks; but they're BEEF franks are delicious. the benefit to this is less fat and calories and the reason I buy them they're more affordable. Plus is you eschew red meat these are for you. I prefer BEEF but with food being SO EXPENSIVE since the pandemic I have to cut corners where I can and they taste GOOD, and I've gotten used to them and enjoy them more. I pan fry them, with a nonstick pan you don't need butter or oil, and it gives them more flavor! Cheers

We’re normally big fans of the cheese dogs, but having a pack of eight that are bun length and cheese would be much better. I love that they were eight in a package versus 10 because in your average hot dog bun packages there are also 8 buns. Better ratio

Oscar Meyer keep going back too. Keep on hand for grandkids, chili dogs. I don’t like the beef too greasy, salty. My most fave pork, chicken, beef. Less salt with pork, chicken, beef. I always keep on hand even if I have to freeze. It makes a great midnight snack. Microwave (even though I prefer toaster oven-taste just like grilled. Umm umm good!

I grew up on oscar mayer hot dogs so I might be biased, but i prefer their taste over other brands like Ballpark and BarS. I only wish they did not mold so quickly, i assume they have fewer preservatives than they used to causing this in about a week after opening.
