Hello! When speaking of iPads, the Defender Pro Series case does not include a built-in screen protector to allow for use of one of our screen protection offerings. The Defender Series case features a built-in screen protector for iPad devices.

I bought this case for my grandson's iPad in September. Today (February) it dropped on the floor inside the house and shattered everywhere. The iPad screen also shattered and actaully has a 1 inch gaping hole in it. The iPad cost upward of $400 and this "screen saver" cost $70 at the time it was purchased. Money wasted! Do not buy this product!

The pro series case does NOT come with a screen protector…you can read the comment from the Otterbox specialist,& ignore the Target rep. Apparently, the standard defender case does have a screen protector. I feel like I got ripped off on this case. I’ll buy another case, but certainly not from Target, which is also where I bought the iPad.

Does not protect the item like other otterbox cases. Completely useless. My iPad has now been broke twice in less than 2 months. Do yourself a favor, save the almost $90 and buy something else.

The Q&A for this item was confusing and the product description doesn’t say as to whether the Otterbox Defender PRO comes with a screen protector. Found out it does NOT. Since the price was so reasonable I purchased it with the hope that it did. As I found out it does not. So I returned it. I could have bought a separate screen protector, but it would have added another $20, at least to the price. I went to the Otterbox web site and found that the Defender comes with a built in screen protector, not the Defender Pro. Since Target as well as some other local retailers did not stock the Defender, I returned the Pro model and ordered what I wanted directly from Otterbox. It cost about what I would have paid for the Pro and a separate screen protector, but without the hassle of installing one separately and worrying about air bubbles under the separate protector. It arrived in 2 days and went on like a charm. With the built in screen protector it was quickly and easily aligned and installed without the worry of air bubbles. Wish this was the model that Target was stocking. Would have made things quicker and simpler. By the way, both of these models are pretty much identical and cost the same with the Defender having a built in screen protector. The Defender Pro does not have a protector but instead has some kind of antibacterial substance imbedded into the plastic.

I absolutely loved that it perfectly for my iPad 8th generation. However the reviews and description say it has a built in screen protector but mine came without it. I gave this a five star because it’s doing it job I’m just bummed out that I was lied to about the built in screen protector.

At first, I thought this would be as good as my other otter box products, but unfortunately it wasn’t. I read the reviews online so I knew there was no screen protector and that’s just a design flaw, not a flaw of the product itself. The main annoyance is that I have had it for just over a couple months and the snaps that are supposed to hold the pencil have both broken. I anticipated that eventually this would happen, but with the quality of their other products and the price I paid for it, I expected it to have happened much later than a couple months. Extremely disappointed in this product.

We’ve been using OtterBoxes on our apple devices for years because they work. I’ve dropped my phone and iPad many times over the years and have had no damage. When I had to replace my iPad, I ordered this case to keep it protected. I picked it up at the store and took it home. When I opened it to install it, I realized there was no screen protector. I guess I should have read the description closer instead of assuming it had one, every OtterBox we’ve ever purchased has had one. The odd thing is this is the PRO version that you would think offers more protection, not less. The regular Defender case (which Target doesn’t carry) has a screen protector so I ended up ordering it from from another company.

The pictures on the app show that the OtterBox case has a built in screen protector. After having to order it finally received it and it does not have a screen cover. Kind of disappointing. Case is nice, but did want the extra screen protection.
