Depending on which device you were previously using, the issue could have something to do with the compatibility of your charger and Apple's internal MagSafe configuration. As a first step, we'd suggest removing the PopTop component prior to setting your iPhone on the charging base, as that will sometimes be necessary. The smooth outer finish was definitely intentional to help folks grab it from pockets and such, but we get that won't be for everyone's comfort level. Sounds like you'd previously enjoyed the Commuter Series Case, which we do also make for iPhone 13 Pro. In addition, a PopSocket accessory can be added to the hard outer shell of that one. We're so sorry to hear you've had a disappointing experience with the Otter + Pop Symmetry Series Case, especially after having been so excited about it. The case has been tested and confirmed compatible with standard Qi wireless technology, but unfortunately, results can still vary depending on what platform is being used. Often times it will help to simply remove the PopGrip component when placing this Apple/Otter combo on a charger. If you're intending on using Apple's MagSafe charger, this case definitely won't accommodate that; however, we do make several that do.
