I didn't realize it when I purchased it that the front of the phone would be exposed. From the pictures it looked like it appeared to have a front and back cover that snap together. (when I went back and looked at the product online, I see that it was just illustrating the layers of the cover) I ended up purchasing another cover that encases my phone

Overall it is a good sturdy case. My only complaint is when I place my phone into my back pocket and back out one corner on the top has always pulled away from my phone.

I drove 20 miles at 50 mph with my phone on the roof of my car and it did not fall off. Not only did this case protect my phone, but it also protected me from my own stupidity, 10/10 would recommend

As others have stated, the new belt clip is no longer centered. Being right handed and having the belt clip on my right side, you either have to flip the phone around to put it in, or rotate the belt clip so the phone retaining clip is on the bottom making it awkward to unclip. The case is typical excellent otterbox construction, however, I buy the defender specifically because it comes with the belt clip option, and now cannot use it properly.

I drop my phone a lot, and I won't buy anything but the Defender! The grip is good--it's texturized and the material is rubbery. That's new. I love the colour. It's so much easier to find my phone against black backgrounds, such as the depths of my bag.

My phone is already busted this case is so thin and not nearly as good as the one I bought years ago. The quality is down on this product. And shipping took almost 2 weeks!

This is my third Otterbox Defender case. I have always loved them. But this one is a bit different: as described in the previous review the locking latch is no longer centered on the holster which means that the phone can only be put in one position. I am right-handed, so I put my holster on my right hip ; the top of the phone is facing backwards. So every time I take the phone out or put it back in the case I have to turn it in my hands. It's definitely only a matter of time before I drop the phone because of this! Doesn't make much sense... Lefties don't have this problem. Otterbox : Please is it possible to create a case with the locking latch positioned opposite to the current one (see photo)? I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one to buy this new modified case! Design of the belt clip is oriented differently from Otterbox defenders that I have bought in the past. When I take it out of the belt clip and put it back, I have to rotate the phone in my hand. I love everything else about my new Otterbox, but that aspect is really annoying.

My phone has indents thanks to this case. Put it on since I had my phone took it off to clean it and there's scratches on the front edges from the case.

Protects but also scratches. I bought this case to protect my brand new phone and the phone has never seen light of day without this case. I just took the case off for the first time in months as it got wet and my phone is all sorts of scratched up on the edges. I guess the phone itself is still fine, though one drop apparently did cause my screen protector (sold separately) to crack a little.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this case! I got the Defender Series and the Screen Cover and they are perfect. They cover just wonderfully and will protect it without fail. The reason I gave it 4 Stars instead of 5 is because they have basically taken what used to be the "commuter" case and made it the "defender" the only thing they added was the useless belt clip! Oh and they also used to give you a screen with your case ( I know, a long time ago) But now you pay extra for it! So there is that... Still all in all a great case!

My second time using a Defender case. I really appreciate the secure grip and shock protection, while still allowing easy access to buttons and functions. Delivery was quicker than promised.

You can't go wrong with otterbox. I love the slimmed down design of the case without compromising the durability of protection that the case offers. I am definitely prone to dropping my phone and otterbox never let's me down. I've used their products for about 10 years now.

I don't know why I try to cut corners... these cases are the best!!!
