Otterbox Strada Series Case for iPhone 13 Pro - Espresso

I wanted a wallet like case to hold a few cards and I like the case but am dissatisfied that it scratches easily and it’s only two days old. I should have chosen the black case not the brown.

It seems like otterbox forgot what made the Strada stand out against other folios, no more easy open, no more one hand use, and now the added bonus of wild volume spikes! Pros: + Flap covers the whole screen + Camera bezel stands slightly proud of the lenses + Material is a good balance of shock absorption and longevity Cons: - flap magnet sticks to the back stronger than the screen - no tab on the flap for opening one handed - no MagSafe option (ready to modify myself) - vol. buttons bumps cause accidental presses when powering off (several screenshots per day) - vol. button bumps cause accidental presses in pocket - Camera bezel interferes with MagSafe rings for adding MagSafe back to cases. Overall, I can’t recommend this case to anyone, it’s far too expensive when you consider all the modifications necessary to make it usable. I should’ve have to think about how I hold my phone when I power it off, shouldn’t have to use two hands on the new model when all the old ones were one hand, shouldn’t have to buy an add on to use a feature my case cancels out on the thousand dollar phone I bought. This is all ridiculous when you consider the history otterbox has, and the infrastructure they have for testing. Why is the designer worse today than 5 years ago? PS: if it’s too late for you, I designed a plastic insert for opening the screen one-handed, I’ll post it to thingiverse.

It cannot be closed with the two credit cards inside without the case changing the volume buttons. I hope it will stretch out, the one for my 6 was wonderful! Not happy right now.

I have always enjoyed the Strada series in the past, until this spring (2022) when I bought an iPhone 13 Pro and a Strada case for it. I miss the leather flap to open it! Why remove it! And when it is open, the magnet on the back is so strong, I have to use two hands, sometimes, to pry the cover off the back magnet so I can close it! But!!! I am SO THANKFUL for that strong magnet as within weeks of having my new phone and case, I set it in my car hood at dusk, to hold my grandbaby. I got caught up in the good-byes and forgot I left my phone on the hood! I drove a few miles to my house and my headlights illuminated an object on my hood as I pulled in the garage! My phone!!! I had to pry the strong magnetized case off the hood! So super glad I had this case!! One last thing about the case. The two buttons in the left are too big. When I take a photo and then close the case, it sometimes takes another photo! It did not do this with my old Strada case! So please work these bugs out!!!

I really wanted to love this. When I first got it, it was perfect. The magnetic enclosure was just enough to keep things stable and secure. But after a few months, people kept tapping me on the shoulder and handing my ID or my credit card back to me because it fell out. If you run with your phone, be very careful. I have only ever put two cards in this and the material just stretches. Not sure what the fix is but you have to be extra careful. Complete leather versions of other folios seem to be more secure.

I've now has three of this style case for my last three phones. Thiabia the worat one. Wasn't available at the store because we're not pushing MagCases so we can sell more ancillary products. The stronger magnet is nice but the lack of overlapping latch is annoying. Give us both the stronger magnet and the overlapping leather. Biggest annoyance and reason for the 2 star: the volume buttons are far to big and sensitive whereas the power/awake button is far to small.

Hard to open with one hand, but still a great case!

I love these cases but they over-streamlined this one. The lack of a tab on the case makes it hard to open and the cover shifts in my pocket. Not as good a protector and case as the 11 or even the 8plus. The 8plus version was the best with the option to sit on desk open. Also, this version keeps turning my volume down with the way the case is made when I put it in my pocket. Take back to drawing board. I may have to find an alternative.

There are many reviews on here bashing this case for the opening and closing magnet. Most of them say that without the clasp it is very difficult to open the case. I have not found this to be true at all. I was concerned after reading those reviews that it would be a dealbreaker for me. Lacking the clasp makes it a little easier to get in and out of the pocket as well. Streamlined, comfortable in the hand, leather could be higher quality for the price but overall, it’s alright. Satisfied customer.

Handsome case but after a couple months use cards fall out. The lining has worked loose too. This should be replaced by Otterbox, but buyer beware. I bought before reviews were available. Now I see the reviews are pretty bad.

I bought this case approx 3 weeks ago. I have used this case on my previous 3 iPhones and was very pleased with the case. While the new case offers the protection I am looking for, I find the new case clumsy to open at least half the time. I may eventually become accustomed to the subtleties of the opening process but it's hard to understand how such a design flaw could have been missed especially when one considers how well the older version case worked. I have started to look for an alternative case.

This case is the worst. I used to love the Strada cases on previous phones but this one is terrible. The cover does not close with 2 cards in it. The flap presses the buttons when closed. I have been trying to contact otterbox to return it since it arrived and still cannot get ahold of anyone and their website has been down for over a week now! DO NOT BUY THIS CASE!!

I have always had the strada case for my iphone. In my opinion its the best case you can get. Unfortunately who ever designed this one missed the mark. The materials feel cheap, design to open is complete nonsense if you don't have saber tooth claws amd the magnet is to strong on the back. Good luck opening with one hand. Great case idea poor craftsmanship.

This is my second wallet from otter box. My first one opened much more easily. This one requires that you slip a thumbnail into a small opening at the top-it does not easily open. I have had mine for just shy of 3weeks and, despite my careful handling of the outside leather, it is visibly scratched.

I love this case and would'nt purchase any other iphone case available.

This was exactly what I wanted and love the case. I had the similar to the one I had for my IPhone X and loved that one too.

Strada cases have been protecting my iphones for years. Major pluses are looks, slim profile, and how easy it moves in and out of pockets. The design change from a small flap to an "indent" on the side is not a big deal, but also not preferred. The leather provides a good grip and the whole case keeps your iphone protected front and back. BTW: I have two wireless chargers; one works with this sometimes, the other, all the time.

I purchased my strada case several weeks ago. This is the fourth one I have owned sine each time I upgrade my phone I buy a new case. When I took it out of the box I noticed a change. There was no longer a little tab to assist in opening the case. It made it difficult for me to get it open. I contacted Otterbox and they told me this was the current design and only thing I could do was return it. I love everything else about the case so instead I got a small piece of leather and glued it so that it made a little tab and now the case works great. To me not discontinuing having the tab was a significant error in Ottetbox’s design. They need to go back to original design.

I have always purchased Otterbox Strada cases whenever I have upgraded my IPhone. So once again ordered another for my IPhone 13 Pro. The quality is amazing. I wouldn’t have purchased any other case.

Every phone I get I buy this case, I feel it protects the best for me.
