Q: What are the measurments of the poles ... and how well does it do in the wind .

A: The pole dimensions are approx 3.94 x 3.94 inches. For wind resistance: when fixed to concrete with expansion screws, it withstands winds of 32-38 mph (7-8 on the Beaufort scale); when secured with ground stakes in grass, it withstands winds of 25-31 mph (6-7 on the Beaufort scale).
