Not to hard to assemble. Just had to go slow and think about what I was trying to accomplish. Not they are filled with potting soil and flower seeds, soon to burst with life. ??

Ordered three of them and they were cheaply made. One was apart and in pieces. Screws not totally into the wood and just a big enough mess that I decided to toss it as it would hold nothing. I have been so pleased with Aosom products before. This was a big disappointment and waste!
