[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Initially, I thought this dish was going to be another little cheap thing that I could throw in my kitchen and find some use for it later. Then, it arrived in the mail and it was heavy heavy. Took it out of the box, and it was very durable. I didn't want to chance it by putting it in my cabinets to get broken by the kids, so I took it and put it in my home office as a tray to hold my decanter. I love the way it looks, and it fits right in with the other decor.

Either is ok. This is heavy as not to slide around. Made solid like a ceramic material. Beveled edges make a statement of beauty. I love the bkack color. It is large enough to serve the main entree at a meal or appetizers and breads at a gathering. It is heavy and very well made. And it is pretty enough to display with fresh fruits or vegetables.
