This mask was hard to use, very hard paste which makes it difficult to spread and saturate the hair. The result was patchy and most of it washed off when rinsing. The color itself is pretty and seems like it would be multitonal but it turns out kinda mustard yellow brown on my natural not color-treated dark brown hair. I have used similar products in the past, and this one is not it, fortunately I can wash it off!

I’m between hair appointments and needed a color refresh for a work trip. I did no research on this product. I just picked up a bottle and used gloves to finger it through my hair. I left the product in for 30 minutes and my hair is a little darker, but I definitely don’t feel like it gave the results advertised on the before and after. It did have a strong minty smell but I didn’t mind. It didn’t dry out my hair. It did feel dry while the product was in, but after wash and blow dry it was silky. I had no issues with skin staining. I spilled some on my sink but I immediately wiped it and there was no staining. Honestly, for $15 and an hour of my time I can’t complain. I got the color black velvet. Before is blue shirt. After is grey shirt.

Im growin out my permanent burgundy hair, lettin it naturally fade. Wanted to plop purple over it to look lil more intentional. It did the job cuz my hairs lightened. The color came out like a blackberry (thankfully not pitch black like has happened before with other purples). I wouldnt use it again cause it was so thick it was really difficult to evenly work thru hair, and mine is shoulder length. A lot didnt get covered so i have some raspberry lookin highlights thru out. Also for already previously lightened hair it didnt have a color pay off i was expecting. I had to use the whole bottle

Super strong smell, and it didn't even hold even though I had it in for 20 minutes. Would not recommend this to anyone, but especially if you have a lot of hair. Mine is short but soaks up a ton of dye because there's a lot of it. So not only did it not stick, but I had to use most of the tube just to figure that out.

I tried goldwell and loreal products similar to this one, however they did not color my originally light brown hair almost at all. This oVertone Hair Care Mask left beautiful cool brown color. My hair is very fine and it also left it kinda thick and voluminous. I also love its smell, very natural. Great product for a great price!

For some reason, this didn’t really stick to the parts of my hair that were unbleached! It did a little, but not like I wanted. I did some research, and their website says if you have this problem, to wash with their special shampoo to help open the cuticle, which makes sense! The bleached parts of my hair REALLY sucked this up though. It is purple!! I have medium/long thick hair, and used very nearly the entire container on my dry hair, left on for around 30 minutes and washed it off! I’ve used orange overtone before, and didn’t notice a difference since the packaging switch. And I still love the minty smell. This will be a repurchase for me! And as more of an in shower conditioning mask to refresh my color, once my purple dye comes in. 5 stars if you have bleached hair, but I wouldn’t recommend for virgin hair. It won’t look like the box, but you’ll get a little color! (Brown sweater is before, white shirt is after)

I have been dying my hair with the tub of purple for brown hair from their website for years with excellent results. I needed to get some more and saw this tube at target and figured it was the same. However there is something about it that seems to have changed. It did leave color but not like before. The consistency feels a little bit runnier and the color does not seem as vibrant. I went to Amazon and ordered the original tub and will not be using this tube from Target again.

Not only did the packaging change but the formula too? This no longer worked on my grays and the mint was extremely strong. I have rinsed it off and no color but lots of cold mint feeling still on my head.

Okay, so I had stocked myself with tubs of purple overtone cause they were darn good and would deposit a really bright good purple on my level 9 bleached hair🫶🏼 but I think now the formula might have changed because of the tube packaging. Proce wise it's still okay is cause the tub would give you 8 oz while this tube is giving 4. The tube still deposits good amount of hair color and smells still like the oils. I'd say give it a try it worked for me. It also fades like after good amount of 6-8 washes so for me it lasts around a month or so.

Will definitely recommend for people who want such color deposits in no time (<10 minutes wait time ) Will repurchase and try out other colors for such results that hopefully dont wash out- also - does NOT stain towel after rinse.

Not a very pigmented formula. I used this on pre-lightened, level 9. I typically use Arctic Fox but ran out and picked this up to refresh my red color. It doesn’t have a pleasant smell… smells like minty chemicals. I would not recommend.
