Q: why can you only use cold liquids in it
A: So you don't burn yourself.

submitted byno name was shared - 5 months agoA: Sorry about the rude answer before, but I would assume it's because of the plastic pieces inside Overtime warm/hot liquids would warp the plastic whereas cold wouldn't. Hope that helps!

Q: Does the straw come out? And can you use it without the straw?
A: The straw does come out and you can use it without the straw, by tipping it upside down.

The straw can be removed during use, but this will eliminate the sip option that makes the Owala FreeSip bottle so great!! Q: Can the straw be removed permanently if I never intend to use it, without losing the chug (non-straw-sip) functionality?
A: Honestly I didn’t think I’d use the straw function either but I ended up really liking having the different choice. Give it a shot!

A: The bottles are popular because they are lead-free steel vacuum insulated water bottle with trendy colors, which is something that many other bottles are not. Q: Can you use this with carbonated beverages like soda? Would only be filled approx 3/4 full (about 20oz in the 24oz).
A: Great question. We discourage the use of hot, carbonated, or perishable liquids with any our FreeSip products. These and other liquids may build up pressure within the bottle and unexpectedly leak or spray out. Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns

Q: Will Owala ever actually follow through on a warranty claim? I have a defective lid and filed all the necessary information with no resolution 8+ weeks ago. Am I doing this wrong?
