A: Thanks for your question. Our Digital Instant Read Thermometer should not be left in the oven while cooking. To check the temperature with this thermometer, you would pull the food out of the oven to test it and remove the thermometer before placing food back into the oven.

A: Thanks for your question. We do not recommend using our Instant Read Thermometer for hot oil. This thermometer is best for meats, seafood, bread, cakes, etc. If you are wanting a thermometer for hot oil, our Candy and Deep Fry Thermometer is the best option!

Not waterproof or sauceproof. Battery doesn't last long, easily clicks in chef's coat. Doesn't handle liquids or high heat well. Difficulty reading temps sauces or steam.

This little thermometer is a game changer in the kitchen. It's been helping me cook my meats to perfection. No more dry, overcooked pork chops! I find it very accurate, I've even tested it out with another thermometer, and it reads super fast. I like how it's digital which makes it so easy to use. It conveniently stores in a little plastic holder, which I find so handy because it's printed with important meat temperatures. It was a little pricey as far as thermometers go, but I'm so happy with this purchase!

Oxo’s Chef’s Digital instant read thermometer is really cool and has helped so much with knowing when the food is at the right temperature. The thermometer has a pivoting head with LCD screen that has easy to read numbers and a probe with a thin tip for accurate readings. First thing I tested this out on were on some grilled steaks and I was amazed at how instant this thing read. The probe cover has conversions for Fahrenheit to Celsius for quick referencing which was helpful in determining accurate readings. The thermometer is definitely great value for your money and would be great for a shower gift and perfect to have handy for the holidays or even for professional use. The probe is stainless steel and easy to clean and stores snug in the included sleeve. Highly Recommended

I’ve always loved the OXO brand so I gave this one a try, the display is large and easy to read and I’m easily able to turn it on and off after use. I like that the display swivels back on it as well, I’m able to poke a food and read it without feeling like I’m tiptoeing to see it. Another thing I really appreciate is the meat temps being on the case, I feel like I’m ALWAYS looking up proper temps and this just cuts that out completely.

I also love that the probe cover has the appropriate meat temperature. There are way too many these days for me to remember so a quick scan at the cover gives me the correct temperature while I am cooking. The probe also has a great tip so it easily slides into my meat without leaving a huge hole to let out all of the juices I worked so hard to contain.

I love they you can angle it into the meat and turn the screen to face you. No sticking your face into a hot oven to see the temperature! It works quickly and has been very accurate.

The battery in the back can be a bit of a challenge to get out, but so far it seems to last awhile, hopefully I won't have to deal with it that often. I loved the little case that came with it that has the cooking temperatures handy.

It’s accurate and easy to use and has lasted for a while. Normally after a couple of uses they stops working. Not this one and I’m very happy! It’s a high quality product.

It has a pivoting head for easy read and a ultra thin tip for a quick temperature read. It has a cover with a usda temperature chart on it. The numbers are a large size so it is easy to read. This is a very simple to use device. All you do is push the button on top to turn it on and insert the needle i to the meat and thats it. If you want °F or °C you push the button on the back. This is a great product that gives accurate readouts very quickly and i highly recommend to add this product to your kitchen like i have!

One grip is getting the probe in the right position was a little off for me. It took a few tries before I was able to trust the internal temperature reading.

I could not figure why the thermometer was not turning on so I had to open up where the battery is and just flip it. I like how fast this can send a digital temperature. I find it is super accurate as well. It is easy to use, easy to clean and easy to store with an included cap. The cap also has a few of the most used measurements printed on it. Overall I plan to keep using this in place of my previous go to thermometer.
