Q: What is the highest temperature it will protect the hand?

A: 350? What happens when handling something hotter than that? Lots of baking happens at over 400F.

Q: Is the entire out side hand part completely silicone or is there silicone areas on cloth?

A: Thanks for your question! The entire top portion of our Oven Mitt is completely silicone on the outside. The inside and bottom of the Oven Mitt is made from cloth. I hope this helps!

My fault for not seeing this is only 1 mit but this is another example of shrinkflation. Why not sell these in pairs. I really would not have bought this had I known that 2 mits cost nearly $40.

It was so tight on my forearm that I couldn't even pull it on all the way and the silicone is slippery. I was afraid the casserole dish would slip out if my hand. I used my last set of oven mitts for 10 years. This one I'm looking to replace after one use.

I assumed, wrongly, that this was a pair of mitts. I guess not. I went back and looked, and nowhere does it say quantity is 2. Anyway, for this same price you can get a different brand and get a pair. So I am a little disappointed. I have not yet used my one oven mitt, so I can't say how it functions, but I bought it to handle pulling out a dutch oven. Hoping this one mitt is enough to get me by on a 450' piece of cast iron!

It is HARD to find oven mitts that fit larger hands! These ones are okay-ish, but still a little tight on my gargantuan hands. The hang loop is nice; I have these hanging on my cabinet right next to my oven. Nice and heat/spill proof.

The fabric portion at the wrist area of the glove completely melted the first time I used it! Chemical smell permeated my food/kitchen and weird melted synthetics adhered to my baking pan. I had already thrown out my cheaper all fabric ones that never melted! I need a replacement. Help me out, Target!

Fits *like a glove*...perfect for when the OXO potholders aren't enough to do the job. I was so tired of singe marks on my wrists from the oven racks...this is my perfect solution to the problem! OXO products last a long long time - and expect to be using this mitt regularly. Thank you Target for bringing OXO into my home.

This is a great oven mitt for my mom. Her old one had holes in the hand (the part that comes into contact with hot things) and it was basically useless. Since this one has the silicon on the hand, I can already tell it's a more useful design. My one call-out is that this mitt is very small. For myself and my mom (two women with small/average size hands) it works but it is fitted. My dad cannot fit his hand in this mitt.
