The OXO SoftWorks Box Grater features coarse, medium and fine grating surfaces, as well as a slicing surface. The Grater is made of durable stainless steel with a soft, comfortable non-slip handle. A: Thanks for your question! Our Box Grater is made out of stainless steel. Stainless steel is highly resistant to many unpleasant conditions including rust, corrosion and discoloration. This item should not rust if used and cared for under the proper use and care for the item.

Normally , I love Oxo but I don’t recommend this grater. The angle that you grate at is really shallow, and it makes whatever you’re grating get all over the place instead of directing it into the bottom/ opening.

We've had this grater for a few years and I recently bought it as a gift for someone. It works perfectly, and also works for food other than cheese (e.g. apples, carrots). I don't use the small plastic container it comes with because usually I grate more than it would hold, but it's a nice little extra. It is very sturdy and easy to use. I'd recommend it!

Sturdy, ergonomic, 4 sizes, and bonus little container! Rubber bottom is handy. They really thought of everything! Have had mine for over 6 years, still like new (I hand-wash my dishes in case that matters). Liked mine so much I bought a second for my BF when his flimsy dollar store graters fell apart. He’s hard on his graters (and uses dishwasher) but his is still like new too!

Great sturdy grater. Great for shredding parmesean and then storing it in the refrigerator using storage container on the bottom. When I'm finished using it I'll give it a quick rinse or pop it into the dishwasher. Just bought another one to give to my mom.
