In my search for a stainless soap dish, all I could find were soap dishes with felt fabric glued to the bottom. In my experience, being in a bathroom, the fabric gets wet, & eventually falls apart. Saw this spoon rest & thought: this could work as a soap dish as it has rubber/silicone on the edges to keep from slipping; the interior is large enough to hold a bar of soap & the indentation for the spoon stem could be used to allow any collected water below the soap be easily dumped out in the sink! It's stainless so will coordinate with tissue box covers, lotion dispensers & wastebaskets in the stainless brushed nickel finish. Thanks OXO!

I love this and I love oxo. I bought this because I needed somewhere to set my spoon down instead of wasting paper towels to set my spoon on and this is stylish and easy to clean.

Functional and easy to clean. Very durable, too. I have had it for awhile because I really wanted to love it and I like all my other OXO brand products. However, I just can’t get past the fact that it looks like an ash tray to me so I have to go with another spoon rest instead.

Good quality. Nice rubber grips. Looks a bit unfinished because of the open top and bottom edges when viewed counter level. That's just my perception. Does what it's supposed to do.

Lightweight, easy to clean, and decent quality. Doesn't take up to much length-room on my stovetop. Just wish it was a bit wider to accommodate larger or multiple utensils.
