A: Idk about the exact material names (sorry, my son is already in it for the night), but I was pleased that it didnt give off any fumes like some tents do. The tent is almost 100% sheer, with a kind of poly tent material at the bottom where it can fit over a twin mattress.

A: Yep! We just got ours today. Our kid is also 5 years old. I think it is designed to fit over a twin mattress (kind of like a fitted sheet on the sides) but we just stuck a little sleeping pallet inside. Also it has a little hook at the top where the poles cross, so your kid can hang a little lantern there or something.

Super easy to set up, with interlocking poles and little pockets. A hook inside for hanging a little lantern. Doesn't have a weird, fumey smell at all. Is mostly a sheer material. Bottom has a fitted sheet-like extension that will hug around a twin mattress. We havent used it with a mattress, just with a sleeping pallet. It is super cute and seems built well.
