Paint by Number Kit Peonies - Mondo Llama™: DIY Art Kit for Adults, Acrylic Painting, Includes Paints & Brush

Compared to similar kits from Amazon, this kit only goes you one brush and the paints are VERY thin. I had to do 3 coats for most of them. The only saving graces for this kit are the mounting hardware and the quality of the canvas.

For a paint by number, this is mediocre. A few of the paint colors are very thin and require multiple coats. The brushes are just okay, so I used other brushes. Overall worth $15, but other kits have been better quality, even through target brands.

The print and canvas are pretty good for the price. The brushes are not good, and most of the paint is poor quality. I'm most frustrated by the paint. I can use a different brush, but replacing the paint is hard. I'm disappointed, and I wouldn't recommend wasting your time.

The paint and brush in this kit are awful. I enjoyed the activity, but I would find a kit that at least includes higher quality paints.

It was a fun way to pass the time when snowed in. It felt like I was letting my inner child play. Definitely didn’t turn out nice enough to hang but maybe would if I had the patience to paint a second or even third coat.

I picked this up on a whim, I've done several paint by numbers before (even some from the dollar store) and nothing has been as cheaply made as this. There is ONE paint brush supplied which makes this incredibly intricate painting with small spaces pretty hard to complete, in turn the painting turns out messy looking if you don't have extra brushes on hand. In addition, the painting is not proportional to the sizes, I had to make the paint REALLY THICK to cover the numbers in some spaces, as others have said. SAVE YOUR MONEY, the picture is blurry.

Quality is good. The paints re good too.

It would be a beautiful picture if the paints were actually opaque enough to cover the canvas and the pre-printed numbers. Several of the colors were so thin I gave up on the painting itself because I knew it would not look good.

This painting is really quite large, and if you get this kit, it may take quite a while to finish. It took me about 3 weeks. Pros: nice design, hanging kit included. Canvas/paper quality is quite nice. Comes with two brushes. Cons: paint quality varies a great deal. A half dozen of the colors were so watery that they required as many as four or five coats to fully cover the numbers. Other colors were the perfect consistency and covered nicely in one or two coats. The bad paint is the main reason I give this kit 3 stars. Recommendation: if you get this, buy extra brushes, preferably super fine tips. It will help a great deal on the tiny areas -- their recommendation to use a toothpick for those didn't work for me. Also, once complete use a spray glaze for acrylics (you can get in any craft store) to give it a nice finish.

Had fun painting this, but the quality & shades of paint ruined the outcome. Would not purchase again.

Really fun to do, the picture itself is very pretty as well…but the quality of the paints was a little lacking - some paints were so thin that I had to paint four or more layers on just to get it to cover up the little pre-printed numbers…and that in turn caused me to run very low on paint in some colors (especially, as other reviewers mentioned, #17). Overall, still a fun kit and a great price point, but if the paints were a little thicker it would be a five star kit.

The paint colors are vibrant. Great way to relax, great option for a gift and great option for adding art to any decor. My daughter has done several of this brand paint by numbers kit and all turn out beautifully. Mistakes are hard to make it’s so simple, but they’re also easy to hide if they do happen. The picture of the peonies is beautiful and will look lovely hanging in a wall once complete. This is a very nice, high quality art kit that’s perfect for older kids, teens and even adults. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Painting by numbers is such a great way to spend your time. It is also super addicting. We sat at the table and just painted for hours. This one with peonies is beautiful, but the details are fairly intricate so it felt like my eyes were playing tricks on me just because some of the parts are so tiny. At the end of the day, it probably doesn’t make too big of a difference if it’s a lighter or darker shade of pink, it’ll still look beautiful! I received an incentive to write this review.

I wanted to really like it but #17 did not come with nearly enough paint and it really takes away from the picture. I do not recommend.

Some colors didn't have enough paint. Especially #17. Love the concept and the price point
