Strong flowery scent

Palmers is a brand I’ve been coming back to since the 90s. I used to like the fragrance free lotion, which had a hint of a cocoa butter scent from the natural ingredients, but it was subtle. I’ve used this stretch mark lotion before too, which also lacked a strong scent. I purchased this recently and the new flowery scent is so strong and overpowering, I can’t use it. Not sure what to do now since these used to the only reasonably priced, easy to find fragrance free cocoa butter lotions out there. Hope Palmers listens to the feedback and goes back to the old formulas

Itching and peeling

I bought this thinking it was the best lotion on the market for stretch marks during pregnancy. I literally am peeling lotion and itching so severely every time I’ve used it. I thought I was using the 2 step system incorrectly but it’s really just the lotion itself. Within seconds of applying the lotion peels off all over the place. Then I get very itchy…Do not buy this.

Smell like old lady

The lotion felt nice but the scent was absolutely horrible! It smelled like an old lady perfume! When I first tried it I didn’t realize the smell was coming from the bottle. When I went to put it on the next night I was gagging on the smell of it! It’s not worth the extra money when normal coco butter does the EXACT same job.

The Massage Lotion has helped greatly reduce the itch and tight skin feeling on my abdomen throughout pregnancy. I started to use the Cocoa Butter at night for added moisture as my pregnancy has progressed. And the Massage Lotion during the day to keep my baby belly mositurized. Love the smell too. Not too strong.

Does not smell like cocoa butter. Has been leaving my stomach extreme dry, and is balling up as i rub it in making me look dirty .. idk what this is

Thank you for your feedback, Jay. We are sorry to hear of your experience. Pilling of lotion can occur for a few reasons and there are some easy fixes to prevent this from happening: 1) Cut Back- when moisturizer balls up it be a result of applying too much product. Try using a thinner application amount 2) Take your time- Pilling can occur when you layer products on too quickly, so if you are using with another product makes sure to give it time to absorb before applying a layering formulation. We hope that these suggestions help!

Bring back the cocoa smell!!!! It was the reason i used to only buy this one! And the feeling of it. Now it just piles on the skin when you rub it and it’s not from dry skin I applied after exfoliate and it still happens and the smell is completely not the same as it used to be the new formula literally ruin the product.

Thank you for your feedback! The fragrance was updated to a lighter scent that is ideal for sensitive noses during pregnancy and disappears quickly on your skin. I first purchased the Palmer's Massage Lotion for Stretch Marks six years ago, not for pregnancy but for surgical scars. It had all the ingredients my dermatologist recommended and was a lot cheaper than surgical scar creams and lotions. It worked so well you have to look for the scars to even see them. The same results for a second surgery I had so I kept on using it. I recommended the Palmer's to everyone, even told my doctors about it. Now the new formula doesn't work as well, nor smell good anymore. Why oh why do companies keep changing a perfect product and ruin it? I will no longer buy this product as I am tired of waiting for Palmer's to fix the problems and restore the old formula. If saving money was the motivation for the formula change bad move. You will have lost more money in former customers and lost recommendations.

Let’s face it, stretch marks are genetic, if you’re going to get them you can’t prevent it BUT, this stuff drastically reduces the appearance of them! It’s a nice thick lotion that I use with the oil. Pleasant smell and moisturizing!

Smells so good! Buy it just for the scent! Also super thick and creamy and hydrating! I don’t know if it does anything as far as preventing stretch marks. I still got them with my first, but use this anyways! It smells so good so I’ll be using it even on my non pregnant body!
It’s a good product and good quality

Why would you say free of fragrance, yet add fragrance? Why would you add sodium benzoate to a product for pregnant women. I love the product, but I hate the smell, and I am afraid to use it because of some of the ingredients. Can't you keep this product great, leave out the fragrance and remove any toxic ingredients? I really want to love this and recommend it, but I cannot. If not for the fragrance and harmful ingredients, I'd give it 5 stars.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The lotion is nice and thick. It does an awesome job with stretch marks. It smells fantastic too. My only flaw I had with it, was that it was so thick it wouldn't pump through the pump part, but I just unscrewed lid. My stretch marks are from 4 pregnancies, and it still made a difference.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love Palmers anything but let me tell you, if you want to prevent stretch marks, use this product!! I KNOW, I did it. If it’s too late and you already have stretch marks rather from pregnancy or not, USE this product. It even works to lighten and almost make make invisible stretch marks on men! I used it on my husbands few stretch marks on his arms and side of his belly and I’m talking you, it works wonders!!! I’ve used it so many years and I know I will continue to use Palmers butter massage lotion for pregnancy stretch marks as of as I live. Oh, and it’s VERY affordable for what it is and does. I love it!!! Highly recommend
