Q&A(15)

Q: Is this safe to use around the eyes as an oil cleanser/makeup remover? I know Palmers has a facial cleansing oil but something in it irritated my skin so I want to try this instead.

submitted by Bee D - 5 years ago
  • A: Dear Bee, thank you for your question. Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Moisturizing Body Oil was made to be used on the body, not your face. We suggest you follow the directions on the bottle and consult a physician before using any body product on your face and especially near the eyes.

Q: Is this product Gluten free? I know some vitamin e can contain gluten. Just want to be on the safe side!

submitted by LFH - 5 months ago
  • A: Great question! While the Moisturizing Body Oil is gluten free, we do not manufacture our products in a gluten free facility, nor do we test for trace amounts of gluten. If you have any concerns, we recommend speaking to your doctor before use.

Q: How is it 100% coconut oil with these ingredients? Glycine Soja, Isopropyl Myristate, Cacao, Carthamus Tinctorius, Sesamum Indicum, Cacao Butter, Tocopherol, Helianthus Annuus, Squalane, Fragrance, BHT, Zea Mays, Beta-Carotene….

submitted by Question - 8 months ago
  • A: The Cocoa Butter Formula Moisturizing Body Oil does not contain Coconut Oil. Palmer’s prides itself on using many natural ingredients in high concentrations in our formulations. To maintain stability and efficacy we sometimes have to blend these natural ingredients with synthetically sourced ingredients such as preservatives. If you have any specific ingredient questions on sourcing or function, please contact our Consumer Relations team at info@palmers.com or 1-877-PALMERS, and they will be happy to assist.

Q: How does this oil compare to the Palmers skin therapy oil?

submitted by teagirl - 1 year ago
  • A: Great question! The Skin Therapy Oil is dry oil and helps improve the appearance of skin imperfections like scars, stretch marks and damaged skin. The Moisturizing Body Oil provides long-lasting moisture to deeply hydrate dry skin, leaving it softer, smoother and glowing.

Q: Can this be used on the face and mixed with essential oils? (Rosehips Seed Oil)

submitted by Godiva - 3 years ago
  • A: Dear Godiva, thank you for your question. Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Moisturizing Body Oil was created to be used on your body. It isn't a facial oil, and since we haven't tested this product with essential oils mixed in, we cannot guarantee the results. Please consider using one of Palmer's facial oils for your face: Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Oil Face or our Cocoa Butter Formula Eventone Tone Correcting Facial Oil.

Q: What's the difference between Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula Moisturizing Body Oil and Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Oil? I'm confused as to which one is better as a post-shower body oil for dry skin.

submitted by trisha - 4 years ago
  • A: Dear Trisha, thank you for your question. Different products have different formulations and blends of oils. Both are terrific for dry, damaged skin. What you choose is your own personal preference.

Q: Is this a thick oil or more like the Neutrogena sesame oil?

submitted by Casegal - 5 years ago
  • A: Dear Casegal, thank you for your question. While we can't speak on Neutrogena, since it's not our brand, we can tell you Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Moisturizing Body oil is a vitamin E enriched, light weight, silky textured oil that is perfect for dry, damaged skin. It's especially useful if your skin is parched due to overexposure to the sun.
