About this item
Carry your camera bag and other necessities with the 20L Everyday Backpack v2 in coyote from Peak Design. This versatile bag is designed for photographers, multimedia creators, or anyone seeking a pack that is size adjustable and compressible. Multiple magnetic latches on the top flap allow you to adjust the height of the pack from 18.3 to 22.3". The interior has three dividers so you can stack items in the main compartment. The dividers have foldout surfaces that can be configured to cushion and hold items against the pack's zippered side openings. The side openings are positioned to face you when the bag is rotated from back to front with either side facing upward. The dividers allow you to choose which items are most quickly accessed from the sides.
The pack interior has a zippered sleeve with dedicated pockets for a 12.9" tablet computer, a 15" laptop, chargers, and cables. Store and organize batteries, memory cards, small electronics, or personal items in slip and zippered pockets on the side opening interiors. The exterior of each side opening features a large open pocket for a water bottle, tripod, or umbrella. Each side pocket also has exterior carry straps with gear loops. Long exterior carry straps and additional gear loops along the surface of the pack attach equipment, accessories, or packable clothing against the front panel. These straps can also be used to attach items to the bottom of the pack.
Carry the pack with the wide, built-in top and side handles or wear it with the adjustable shoulder straps. For heavy loads, use the sternum strap to distribute the weight more evenly. The shoulder straps can be magnetically fastened against the rear panel when not in use and an integrated trolley sleeve mounts the pack to the handle of your rolling luggage for seamless travel.
Featuring durable nylon construction, this pack is weather resistant and has a waterproof bottom panel for further protection.

A clear upgrade over V1

Got V2 as a warranty replacement for the V1. V1 looks more fancy, more fancy elements, more leather, etc, but V2 is just much more practical: laptop compartment, internal side pockets, etc. Few changes I did not like comparing to V1: 1. attachment loops are not tethered to the pack and have plastic instead of metal buckets, 2. Shoulder straps have additional “wrapped” padding, which is probably much greater from the durability perspective, but makes the pack to look much cheaper, 3. No integrated hip belt (not like you need it for a 20L every day, but was nice to have while biking).
Delivers every time!

I was in need of a new backpack. I already owned a few products from Peak Design, so I knew they also sold backpacks. After watching the explanatory videos on their website, I got excited about the many features. Once I bought the backpack, I realized it had everything I had hoped for and more. The various ways you can organize the contents and the ability to open the backpack from the sides are really convenient. Additionally, I find the design modern yet timeless. Besides all these very positive features, I do want to make one remark. For the price, a rain cover should have been included as standard. That’s why I’m giving this purchase a 9 instead of a 9.5.
So many pockets, wow!

Excellent backpack, not too heavy, a lot of pocket so you can be super organized. To sum it all, a very good piece of equipment.
Fantastic bag, perhaps too many features.

I really am enjoying this bag for everyday use. Commuting/biking with my work laptop, rain clothes, misc for the kids etc etc. It's sturdy and I easily fill it out, even the 30L version. My only drawback is that all the features add weight. It's around 2kg and I would love to perhaps save some of all the magnets, squeeze the padding between laptop and tablet etc. Or the 2 layer exterior just for hiding some straps. Fit and build is super good. There's though some balancing when putting it on the ground it wants to fall backwards due to the laptop. And I wish that the side pockets could open a bit further up. Seems like the zipper bit is stuck for a full opening in the side. Would opt for even more expansion with the maglatch. I would also consider laptop access under the lid instead of th me zip: - potential extra rain cover - if you are already opening the bag for a charger, mouse, headset or something else, you already have the lid open. Side note; I got this bag as a replacement for another worn out bag after 9 years(!!). The life time warranty definitely makes up for the price.
Very solid backpack

I originally had the V1, which was replaced under warranty after 4 years after part of a zipper broke. The new bag is just a really solid improvement on the original. Better straps and better interior flaps in particular

I needed a bag that I could use to commute to work, but also comfortably and safely carry my camera and some extra gear. This bag is comfortable and doesn't feel bulky. I normally wouldn't spend this much money on a bag, but this was a no brainer and I had been wanting it for a while.

This backpack is hands down most comfy and best designed pack I've had. Only request would be making the bottle holders on the side 1" bigger, I had to get a new h20 bottle to fit (worth it though)

Best backpack I've ever had. Always referred to as 'The Office', as it has been with me around Europe on a 5 month campervan-trip, and now living it's everyday life in the triangle between Denmark, Canada and Sicily.

I have the 20L bag, and it is perfect for a Z8, a few lenses, and a speedlight. Being very water-resistant is a plus, and it can take a lot of extra soft-goods in the top with no problem.

It’s been quite the journey, but look how far we've come, my camera-loving companion. We might have taken the long way, but we always knew we'd get there someday. They said, "I bet they'll never make it," but here we are, defying the odds. This bag is the one I run to, the one that I belong to. With its versatile design and thoughtful features, it’s still the one I want for life. From its customizable dividers to its weatherproof construction, it's still the one that I love. It's the only one I dream of when it comes to carrying my gear. And at the end of the day, when the sun sets and it's time to pack it all in, this bag is still the one I kiss goodnight. I'm so glad we made it, my trusty Peak Design Everyday Bag. Look how far we've come, my baby. Together, we're still going strong.

Was looking for a bag to carry my Apple Vision Pro headset without the giant apple case but keep it protected. This case with the adjustable shelving system, side entry, and semi-hard shell works perfectly. Used the top shelf for easy access to the AVP, fits snuggly there without any pressure points on the device and that left plenty of room in the rest of the bag for accessories. Able to travel with the AVP, MacBook pro, iPad Pro and headphones. Even with that amount of tech & weight, the backpack is very comfortable. I appreciate the magnets in the shoulder straps to keep things streamlined when not using them. I ordered 4 competitor bags to evaluate this with others and kept the Everyday backpack, great solution for my needs with aesthetics.
Awesome Features!

I'm 3 years into using my second everyday backpack, after getting 4 years out of my first one. This generation bag has been perfectly durable, hardly any signs of wear, no technical or quality problems, and I still think it stands out in a huge crowded market that has sprung up around camera bags. The 30L is the perfect bag for my telephoto lens and I love the versatility that the interior offers. Wondering if I'll ever need a 3rd one?

As a student i can say that this backpack is perfect for daily use. The way it is designed is really good to keep everything organized and accessible. The materials are pretty resistible, my only complaint is that the main metal lock (or however you call it) get scratched easily. But besides that I really recommend it.

I have a closet full of bags and packs because I haven’t been able to find the one that hits the sweet spot until now. I was ready to buy yet another pack and I was looking at Patagonia, Ofsprey, and other well reviewed packs. I literally stumbled into a Peak Design shop and found that thing I was ready to invest in. I like the hardware and the vehicle seatbelt like webbing at all the straps. When adjusting or letting off slack so I can swing the bag to my front to access to side access, it’s smooth and I no longer have the cringy scraping sensation of pulling course webbing through plastic buckles. I love that I can attach and cinch the chest harness strap with one hand. The size (30L) is perfect. You don’t actually have 30L unless you have the top flap at its highest setting (the top flap buckle is awesome ) which actually makes the size and appearance perfect for me. I really want as much volume as possible without it looking too big. I like the numerous loops to add more carry straps or even TSA locks as needed without it looking like a tactical back. The back both looks good in a professional setting and just sporty enough for the out and about. I don’t buy pricey things unless they are quality. I have had trouble finding something worth paying for until now.

I had my peak design everyday backpack V1 for over 5 years. As a first responder Paramedic, I store all my tech gear in my backpack for when I’m on standby waiting for emergency calls so it's had a hard life and still looked great. The zip failed and contacted Peak Design within 48 hours they replaced my bag with the V2. Fantastic service. Highly recommend.
