I bought this pancake mix yesterday and will never buy it again. There were a ton of little bugs in the mix. I didn’t realize it until I started mixing the water in, but when I looked inside they are in the box and alive. Here’s the deal…they could probably fix this problem by putting the mix in a sealed bag. It is loose inside the box leaving it exposed. Pouring it is a mess. They just have you rip the little panel on the side of the box. There’s no pour spout or anything. It doesn’t even close properly. Terrible! I expect more from a name brand and I think changes to the packaging are critical.

Tastes good, easy to mix and make. I really didn't want a fussy mix that asks for buttermilk or eggs. This is a classic for a reason!

I am a big waffle person, but I don't love the hassle of making batter. This pancake/waffle mix is a little simpler than other mixes because you only need to add water and oil, no egg. So it's fairly quick for me to mix a batch of batter while the waffle iron is heating up, and I don't have to give it a lot of thought or effort. I do add flavor extracts to give it a little oomph--the best ones to use are almond or rum!

Long-time buyer, just bought 3 boxes and it was all bad. The leavener in the mix must’ve been bad because neither pancake or waffle modification worked. Heavy, flat, doughy nastiness. Kind of ruined a Sunday morning for my kids and their friends.

I was shocked to find the mix is just loose in the box- no sealed bag. Unsanitary, spilling out of the corners making a mess, and no way to store it once it’s opened. Strange.

Good mix but horrible packaging. Once opened, there is no way to protect the mix from bugs. The mix is just sitting inside the box with no bag or foil that can be folded over. The only way to keep the inside from contaminants is to transfer it to a container or put the whole box inside a bag and secure the bag with twist ties or rubber band ( which is what I ended up doing). The mix itself is ok. Just add water. No oil or egg needed. I added a few spoonfuls of ricotta and lemon zest to make fluffy lemon ricotta pancakes.
