A: As long as the liquid waste stays inside the litter tray with the litter, this would not be a problem! For this situation, however, we would recommend one of our ScoopFree units that include a top entry privacy hood to help prevent any accidents or misses!

Q: The tray that came with the litter box seems to have a plastic finish. Can I continue to use this tray and just keep adding new litter rather than purchasing disposable trays?
A: Thank you for asking this question! Though these trays have a liner to help prevent leaking, they are disposable trays and should not be reused; we do apologize for any confusion. Q: where is the solid waste held until the tray is removed?
A: Thank you for your great question. Solid waste is kept in the waste trap which you see at the front of the tray. The rake pushes solid waste under the waste trap cover.
