It is important to check that the shaving head is not dirty, damaged, or worn out. This will cause declining product performance or even skin irritation. Hence please clean the shaving head as per the user manual and try again. If your Philips lady shaver does not turn on, turns off by itself during use, or does not shave as well as it used to, insufficient charging is one likely cause. For optimal performance, fully charge your lady shaver before your next session. It is very important to use the proper shaving technique to get the best results and to avoid any pain or irritation. While shaving, tightly pull your skin with one hand and slowly move the shaver against the direction of hair growth. Make sure your shaving or trimming head is in full contact and flat on the skin. Do not press it too firmly on your skin, be gentle and move the shaver slowly. If your lady shaver comes with a skin stretching cap, try putting it on the shaving head. This attachment makes the hair on your skin stand upright, making them easier to remove. Your lady shaver includes an overload protection feature that is activated when you press too hard on your skin. This is to protect your skin from damage. Allow the shaver to glide across your skin and avoid pressing too firmly. It may be that the overheat protection on your lady shaver has been activated. When this happens, you will see red lights flashing on your lady shaver and it will stop working. In this case, let the lady shaver cool down and turn it back on after a minute or so. If it still does not turn on and the red lights start flashing again, it means it has not cooled down properly and you should wait a bit longer. To help you with the process, simply detach the applicable part for cleaning or replacement by pressing the release button on the back of the shaver. We would like to suggest you to go through the points below on how to use Philips SatinShave. You can use the shaving foil to trim and shave your body hair below the neckline, for example armpits, arms, legs and bikini area (with a trimming comb). When using the device in the intimate area (the outside and inside of outer labia), ensure you attach the trimming comb to the shaving head. The product is suitable for use in the bath or shower, but you can also use it dry. Use the appliance on clean skin. You can exfoliate your skin a few days before shaving. Exfoliating removes the dead skin around your hair follicles and makes it easier to remove hair. For best results, use the product dry to trim hairs. Place the product on your body, so the attachment or accessory is in complete contact with the skin. Move the product slowly against the direction of hair growth. Allow the product to obtain catch all the hairs for a smooth result. When you use the product on sensitive areas, stretch the skin with your free hand. When you use it on your underarms, raise your arm and put your hand on the back of your head to stretch the skin. When using the device on wet skin, rinse the head regularly to remove hairs and ensure it continues gliding smoothly over your skin. Make sure your skin is thoroughly wet with water. Gently pat your skin dry after use. Consider wet hairs tend to stick more to the skin. If you want to use creams or body lotion, apply them after you have used the product.
