Q: Will this vacuum pick up other small toys? i.e. maybe hair barretts, scrunchies, erasers, crayons?

A: Oh yes. We've seen videos of people using it on crayons, nerf darts, lima beans, jacks, anything that's small enough to fit through the hose opening (about 1 ½" in diameter) and isn't too heavy. Perfect for LEGO® bricks, doll accessories (especially doll shoes and purses). Things like Hot Wheels are a bit too heavy to be pulled all the way through and seem to want to drive back out. Hair barrettes and scrunchies should be no problem.

Q: can this be used for larger blocks like mega blocks and duplos?

A: Duplo bricks are mostly too big to fit through the suction tube. We had to balance the suction capability with the size and type of piece that most people are picking up. During development we tried bigger tube opening but to get the suction power back up to the level that worked required a motor so loud, it was a little frightening for the youngest kids (not to mention annoying for their parents). But you just wait - once your little grandbaby graduates to Lego, you’ll inevitably have the experience of stepping on one in bare feet. That’s what motivated us to develop Pick-Up Bricks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great invention! It is easy for kids to use! The hose did come off a couple times, but maybe we didn't figure out how to lock it in. Other than that, we loved this product. My daughter uses this all the time to clean up her Legos now. This saves sooo much time while she cleans her room.

It definitely is for the older kids like grade school and up. I wish the hose wasn’t so stiff so it was easier to store. The lid latches would sometimes only half latch but it was hard to tell so when you go to pick up the vacuum it would fall apart. Overall is a great idea.

I’m actually writing this on Christmas because I am very impressed by this vacuum!! It has strong suction and really fits all the pieces- even Lego doors and windows! I wish the nozzle was a bit more flexible, as it’s kind of stiff, but otherwise- five stars!!!!!

Top 5 on my son’s Christmas list and what a disappointment. Received yesterday and target sent me a USED/RETURNED product. Box was extremely damaged and oddly tapped. Opened up and nothing was packaged and the vacuum was broke. I bought on target discount which is over now and I won’t receive before Christmas.

My child has been using her Pick-Up Bricks vacuum for at least 2 years from 6-8yo. Both her and her 4 year old cousin use it to pick up small toys that were driving me crazy: LOL doll accessories, doll house dishes, PollyPocket items, perlerbeads, and minibrands toys. The vacuum effectively picks them up and strips them of the glitter, confetti, orbeez and pet hair from the floor. I appreciate the usability and that the sound is actually tolerable for the children. They are both sensitive to sounds, such as a standard vacuum. I highly recommend this to help kids get more involved with restoring order and floor safety.
