A: The blanket is 59 inches wide by 51 inches long. With accessories or a picnic in tow the blanket can comfortably fit 2-3 people. There is an XL version of this picnic blanket available that extends it it to 70 inches wide by 80 inches long which is more room for a family sized picnic.

Q: Can I wash it in the washer & dryer?

A: Thank you for reaching out to learn more about our Blanket Tote! Please do no use a washer and dryer. The heat from the dryer will damage materials and ruin the blanket. Dry cleaning and ironing should also be avoided. The best way to care for the blanket will be to spot clean any dirty areas with warm water and mild soap by hand.

A: Thank you for reaching out about our Blanket Tote! When the tote is all folded together it is a compact 13" long x 9" wide x 4" tall. When the blanket is undone is spans 51 inches x 58 inches which is nearly 21 square feet of area for picnicking. We hope this helped!

I jumped at purchasing this product before reading all the details. I purchased as a gift for my daughter but before it arrived, she sent me a link to another one she wanted. She LOVED this one but read carefully....NOT MACHINE WASHABLE. So the issue with that is, she's the mom of 2 little babes. I'll spell it out....potty accidents, spit up, food or drink spills, playing in the park and bringing sand, wet grass or even mud back to the picnic blanket means that she needed something she could take home and throw in the washer. The backing on this product is the reason you can't do that. If you're an adult and don't plan on wine spills or being caught in the rain (sounds like my dating profile), then it's a great purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very attractive picnic blanket and I have enjoyed using it in several occasions, it not only looks like a winter throw, but feels like one as well (personally, I like that but can see why others may not). the fabric is a fleece so I would not recommend using in on a hot day. I also found that this fabric is not very forgiving and attracts more dirt than I would like.

The trouble I always have with putting a blanket down is that by the end of the event the condensation has soaked the bottom of the blanket and I am cold! This solves 2 problems for me. It’s lined on the bottom and water resistant with a kind of nylon material while the blanket is a really pretty flannel. I love that it folds up into a crossbody sling. When I go to these events my hands are usually full! This lets me put the blanket on my shoulder rather than have it take up room in a bag. Can’t wait to spend my summer on the grass with the blanket!

It was so easy to bring along and honestly I almost forgot I was carrying it with me (accidentally brought it to the bathroom!). It was enough room for two adults to sit on while still be nice and compact after folding it up. Really all I needed it to be!

The waterproof underside helped keep all our bottoms dry while sitting in the grass, and the blanket kept down while we were eating. The fabric was a bit hot for a summer day, but we still enjoyed in nonetheless. My kids even decided it was a mattress and napped on it outside after finishing the picnic. It took me a few times to be able to roll it back up properly but all in all this was a great product and we loved it! I started bringing it to the park for my baby when my kids are playing soccer so he can crawl around and he loves to sit and play on it! I wish it was washable!

The only down side is that grass gets stuck to it and it's difficult to keep it clean. I like that it folds up easily in size of a hand bag. I do keep it in my car for outdoor time with friend and family.
