This pig is adorable; unfortunately, it is not functional. The dowel you put the paper towels on doesn't lock in any way, it's just 2 rod ends that insert into each other. When you take a paper towel the rod rolls with the towels causing the pig's body to disconnect. You literally have to push the pig back together after every use. Sad. I will be returning this.

Cheaply made and does have a good way to hold the paper towel in place

The inside is metal, the head and butt are some other material. Ours arrived in perfect condition, and it is adorable. I was worried about weight, but you can easily pull a paper towel off and it doesn't move. It was pricey for a paper towel holder, but was what we needed, so worth it.

I agree with one of the earlier reviews. It looks great but it is not heavy enough to tear paper towels easily. Also, the split that enables the loading of rolls does not stay in place or fasten together in any way, so the rack slowly loosens outward. Not worth the price - they should at least lower the price to $15.

This would be a nice paper towel holder but it is NOT made of metal as the description states. It is instead (quite lightweight) plastic, and I think the rod for holding the paper towels was wood. It is nowhere heavy enough to stay in place while you rip off a sheet, rather it would just be an annoying object attached to the roll! It came as three loose parts (no product-specific packaging) in a huge shipping box. I think it had been returned before. I returned it again. Very disappointed that the description was so misleading.

Just what wanted for cottage on mountain at Lake Arrowhead.

Although the design of this little pig is very cute, it IS NOT functional. It is very light weight and when I screwed in the metal posts to assemble it, one of the posts broke off of it's base with hardly any force being applied to it! I had to return it to my local target store and dig out my old paper towel holder that was less than half the price of this one and has been used for 2 years. BOTTOM LINE: I really wanted to love this item because it matches my kitchen, but it is not functional and does not serve it's main purpose. Even if the metal post wouldn't have initially broken off, I do not believe this product could be used on a regular basis and hold up to everyday use.

very cute and easy to put together and holds up the paper towel very well. it gives me the giggles. fun addition to my small, blah apartment kitchen.

The pigs seem to be paper or some light weight material, but they are connected by a metal post. I'm hoping they will hold up in the bathroom as extra toilet paper storage when guest are over.
