terrible coop

In coop mode player 2 just watches player 1 and can shoot "pebbles" that barely have any effect. Complete downgrade from pikmi 3 and not even worth advertising as coop mode.

This game has such potential to be great. If you’re playing one player, it’s fun. But I have 2 kids and they always want to play together. But in 2 player mode, the second player basically does nothing. So then they argue about who is first player and you know how that goes. So now no one plays it.

Nintendo has pushed the graphics boundaries again with Pikmin 4. This game feels a lot more open than previous ones, and the new Pikmin additions are fun.

Agree with other reviewers who can’t stand the “co-op” AND target won’t take back opened video games! This is not the same as Pikmen 3, DO NOT BUY if you came for a co-op game!

Great family game for kids to adults

5 out of 5 stars

basement - 1 year ago
This game is such a fun game. You get little “pikmin” that attack enemies and depending on the color, they have different strengths. The characters are well thought, and since it is a strategy game it is great for kids to learn how to plan but increases difficulty in a way that gamer adults can enjoy. If you are looking for a family game like Mario or Kirby but want something that is a little less mindless that everyone can play (from 3yr old+ ) for the holidays this one should be on your list. If you like games like cake mania, plants vs zombies, sudoku or picross this is a must.

Best switch game I've bought so far

I just love this game and franchise so much. This iteration is fantastic so far (been playing for five hours straight and have well over 80% of the total game left— very much worth the money). If you’ve never played a pikmin game, you’d still be able to jump in right here and have a great time!

Pikmin 4 is by far the most content-filled game Nintendo released since, well, Tears of the Kingdom. It's definitely for old and new players alike.

this game is super cute and relaxing :) i love how they let you rewind time so that you can play and not have your pikmin die all the time. not having a real two player mode (aside from dandori battles against each other) is a bit annoying but not a deal breaker since the single player gameplay is so much fun

Beautiful, fun, exciting, and amazing! The game gets longer and longer each time you think you’re close to finishing it. And it just gets better and better. I’ve played Pikmin 1, 2, and 3. This 4th one is an amazing addition to the trilogy. Many new additions and advancements that compliment the game perfectly. A little slow at first but once you get into it, you can’t put it down. Not to mention the graphics are stunning. You feel like you are transported into another world entirely. Flawless execution. Highly recommend.

I have played everything single pikmin game (except for hey pikmin) and out of all them this my second least favorite. I liked the gameplay but I wish they didn’t make it a reboot of the original pikmin. (Never mention hey pikmin to me that doesn’t exist)

This is such a fun game! I would definitely recommend both new and old players to the pikmin series to play this game. The story is very well thought out and has more than enough gameplay for any age group to enjoy.

We are utterly disappointed. They changed the game so there’s really not a co-op mode, Player 2 just shoots pebbles. How fun is that? NOT. We received yesterday and don’t even feel like playing, since it’s really a game of one. Nintendo, you ruined the game.
