Pillsbury Chocolate Chunk Muffin Batter - 16.5oz

These were dry and dense. They have an unpleasant aftertaste. The dough was sticky and hard to get into the muffin tin.

The instructions on this aren't very good. They say to cut off the tip of the dough tube and squeeze the batter into muffin cups. However, doing so means a lot of batter sticks to the plastic and doesn't get out. A better strategy is to cut open the tube and scoop out the batter into tins. However, doing that is still pretty messy and makes this a lot less convenient as a product. My muffins were very dense without the lightness or moist crumb I like in a muffin. I made mine a little larger than recommended--6 servings rather than 8--which I thought would preserve some moisture but it didn't. As for flavor, the chocolate is nice and the chips are a good size. However, these are really too sweet. They seem more like a cake than a muffin. The muffin part doesn't have much flavor, so only the chocolate tastes very good. I won't buy these again. You can make muffin mix in about the same amount of time and effort and it turns out better.

I can't say that I would purchase this again, as it just seemed like too much effort. The idea of squeezing it out seems so simple, but that was not the reality for me at least. The packaging ripped a little, making the squeezing part quite messy. Even using a spoon was frustrating. I felt like there was so much dough left, and I like to not waste anything. The taste is 100 percent there though. I probably won't purchase this again simply because it wasn't as easy as it is supposed to be.

I made it in a bread pan, and even after adding non-stick spray and stuff, it still stuck to the pan. Had a good amount of chocolate chunks, and the packaging was great. Would buy again if needing a quick snack, but it would make it in muffin cups.

Loved being able to make a quick batch of muffins, however, these did not come out as good as I had hoped. The dough was very sticky and hard to squeeze out. I made them in mini muffin tins, so perhaps that impacted my results.. After 10 minutes, they were already done, so I took them out. Unfortunately, they were dry and chewy. Not sure I'd get them again.

The peanut butter isn’t too overpowering, and the chocolate chunks melt in your mouth perfectly. I highly recommend these muffins!

Felt like I needed to squeeze it all out into a bowl and then scoop which would kinda defeat the point. End product was tasty but not sure they are worth the hassle.

However, I do not know if this is one I will purchase again. As a caveat, I did not have a full size muffin pans, only a mini. So that may have made a difference in my experience as it was meant for a full size muffin pan. I found the batter to be a bit sticky, which made it challenging to work with. Trying to squeeze out the batter out of the tube was messy, the product was all over my hands as I tried to get it into the mini muffin cups. The taste was ok. I do wonder if the format of the small muffin tin impacted the moisture of the muffle as intended (I baked them for less time than suggested for the full size muffins) It may just be that I’m not a muffin person. Or the mini muffin tin impacting my experience, but I probably would not buy these again.
