Q: Hi there. My bf is currently in SF and I would love for him to buy me these. Is it safe for it to be out of the freezer for two days while he is travelling?

submitted by Jamie - 6 months ago
  • A: No I don’t believe so. I don’t know where you live, but they can be purchased in most grocery stores.

Q: Can i freeze for a few weeks before opening

submitted by SC - 2 years ago
  • A: Freezing unbaked cinnamon rolls is not recommended as freezing may cause them to lose their leavening power and they may not rise as expected. You can freeze fully baked cinnamon rolls. After completely cooling, tightly wrap each in plastic wrap and place in an air tight container. Label and enjoy within 30 days.

Q: Is the cinnamon in the dough or separate? I am looking for a plain sweet roll so does Pillsbury make any of these types with the cinnamon separate to add optionally.

submitted by anon - 4 years ago
  • A: Hello, thanks for the question. The Cinnamon does not come separately, it is part of the dough. Thanks!

Q: Can I bake these two at a time and leave rest in refrigerator in sealed bag?

submitted by Sue Anderson - 4 years ago

Not Cinnamon Rolls

Merquin - 2 months ago

These are not cinnamon rolls, they are bread with icing and some cinnamon on them. Cinnamon Rolls are supposed to be unrollable, with cinnamon and sugar between the rolled layers. This is a misrepresentation of the product. This is also a form of false advertising. The standards for a popular product that used to be great., has greatly diminished. This is sad that this company would produce a product like this.

I got these because I’ve seen them my whole life and never got around to buying them. Usually just make cinnamon rolls by myself (technically monkey bread in a bread maker). Got these because I didn’t feel like going to Trader Joe’s for biscuits and there was a buy one get one 25% off for pillsbury. Big mistake. Biiiiiiiig mistake. I ate one and immediately went to the internet. I needed an explanation. After a brief search, I found out that these are not the same ones they were years ago. Which explains a lot. I cannot imagine how these current ones would hold up and get purchased consistently for years. They’re disgusting. I don’t throw that word around lightly when it comes to food. First, if “cutting corners” had a taste and texture, it would be these “cinnamon rolls.” They are not rolls and there is barely a cinnamon flavor. It tastes like stale biscuits with a little “sugar.” Almost no cinnamon flavor if you put the “icing” on it. They taste a bit like… stale biscuits? Maybe what they’re doing is using biscuits that aren’t quite on par (a low bar, it seems), slapping some cinnamon and icing on and praying that covers the taste. (Oh, and if anyone at Pillsbury wants to insist that isn’t true: well, maybe you shouldn’t make them taste like they’re leftover stale biscuits. If someone intentionally sat there to create these things, that’s even worse). Anything to squeeze out some money. I’d almost applaud the commitment to making sure things don’t go to waste, if it weren’t for the shameless pricing. For the ridiculous price, you’re better off getting one of those trays of premade cinnamon rolls from Target’s brand or even Aldi (which by the way, how can they charge that much for these now? It’s not inflation, it’s greed from shareholders. This product is worth maybe a couple of cents. Max).

Absolutely horrible. No taste. And even worse than that was the texture. Now I have 1 more can after throwing 5 biscuits or whatever they are in the trash. Let me know what I can make out of the ones that will probably get trashed uncooked.

This is NOT a cinnamon ROLL. More like a plain biscuit, barely any cinnamon and no roll to it at all. These are gross and borderline false advertising because an actual cinnamon roll is pictured on the packaging.

These cinnamon rolls are NOT cinnamon rolls! They are biscuits!! my husband and I are so disappointed!! And I see here, from reading other's reviews, they feel the same. I will never ever buy these again unless you go back to making them as they used to be. I can make my own BISCUITS with cinnamon and they'd be better than these!! YUCK!! Wish I could give less than 1 star!

We thought we must have missed something when we realized that the cinnamon rolls that we used to enjoy were not rolls any longer -- just a biscuit with a bit of cinnamon on top. So shame on us, we tried them again just to be sure. Sure enough, same issue. So may have to try my hand at making from scratch -- can't be any worse!!! P.S. At least change the picture of the roll on the label so as to not mislead the consumer.

Gross. I used to love these and would sometimes even prefer them to my grandmother’s awesome homemade ones. They used to be soft and cinnamon filled. Now they are gross biscuits with a bit of cinnamon sprinkling that are hard and not even remotely satisfying. So disappointed.

These used to be my favorite. I just tried them for the first time since the recipe changed, and I am extremely disappointed, and will no longer be purchasing any products from this brand. It's just a biscuit now. There's no *roll* to this cinnamon roll. The flavor is bland, despite the claims of more cinnamon. They also didn't rise very much and stayed small. I absolutely hate this change.

These are not cinnamon rolls anymore. Shrinkflation has gotten to these classics. They are now cinnamon biscuits basically. They do not unroll anymore. They are just one solid puck of a biscuit with no cinnamon inside and barely any on top. These are not a satisfying treat anymore. Will no longer buy them.
