submitted byDianida - 3 years agoTarget staff supportA: I couldn't open the rings. Do NOT try to pull it apart. Hold it where you see the break (i.e., where it looks like it splits). Push/pull in opposite direction. Then snap them closed.

Q: I bought them; can't open the rings. Do they open from side to side? or do you pull apart each end? the previous two replies are useless! They didn't answer the question.

A: Hello Screen Name - We appreciate your interest in the Plastic Shower Rings Clear. To answer your question, find the split in the ring and face the split towards you. There is a ball joint that comes up and sits inside a socket end. Pull the ball joint out and while you push the socket joint in. They can be tough and may need some exertion to pull apart. Once around the rod. Push the ball joint into the socket joint until you hear a snap. This will take some force. We hope you find this helpful. - Ananya

I like these because of how easy it is to use them and how they will match with any bathroom/shower curtain. They do last quite a while, if you don't break them! I have broken a few and have had to replace them... but I'd rather keep using these plastic ones than buying a different style.
