Q: If I buy two Pokémon game boards it will the cards be different in each set or do you know the answer to that

submitted by Shirts - 4 years ago
  • A: Each box comes with pre-made decks. The back of the box will tell you exactly what you will receive. So every box should be exactly the same.

submitted byDRP - 4 years ago
  • A: All cards are random so there is a 50% chance you might get some duplicates and a 50% chance you might get some new cards, too.

submitted byPokemonFanGirl - 4 years ago

Q: The description says: "3 complete Pokemon TCG decks (60 cards total)" Are there 180 cards in the box or 60 (as in, it should say 60 cards per deck, not total)

What this most definitely IS: a super basic way to learn how to play a game with pokemon cards. It comes with 3 different low power, simple decks (for variety), damage counters, a board so you know how to lay out the cards, and booklets that describe what to do on each turn depending on which deck you are playing. This is most definitely NOT a way to get high power or rare cards, although it comes with a significant amount of energies (about 18 each) for the three types of decks. I have teenage boys who all can play pokemon. They were excited that I found this set so they can teach a 9 year old friend from church how to play (he has a lot of cards but doesn't know how to use them), show him the basics of deck building, and then he can use this to teach his family. As someone who has spent a lot of time and money on Pokemon over the years, I think this is well worth the $15 if you want a basic way to learn what to do with all those cards your kid is excited to collect.

My 9 year old's new friends are heavily i to Pokémon, so he became interested. I had no idea how to even begin to help him into this world of cards and battles. I found this game. One short video tutorial later and we were playing on our own. The 11 year old sibling who had expressed irritation and disinterest begged to be in the second battle. This is now their go-to game. I've already purchased additional cards for Christmas so they can develop different card packs. Im so glad I found this game. Sometimes for social games like these, it can be hard to find a starting point for learning - a sort of doorway into the culture of the game players. This is that starting pint, that doorway.

I'm really disappointed in this. I knew there would be some duplicates and energy cards, but out of 120 cards, about 60 are energy and probably another 30 duplicates. Wish I could un-purchase this, but at least it was on sale

I purchased this game for a 6 year old and found that the rules were very specific in how they should be arranged. stating do not shuffle but the cards were far from in order and several cards are missing from the decks. my 6 year old also wanted to take control of his rule book and unless your 1st grader can read at a 4th or 5th grade level that's not happening. The game was also confusing and so many rules needed to be followed that he got frustrated so I'm returning it for something else. this game should not be marketed to 6+ but more 9 or 10.

I bought this for my 7 year old because he loves Pokémon and now he's on the floor crying because the Eevee deck is missing 24 cards and doesn't even have the Eevee card. The other decks also have lots of duplicates. The game is pretty much useless when so many cards.
