I got this for Christmas from my brother. Since there are 2 games me and him have been playing next to each other non stop. It hasn’t been glitchy at all for me though other reviews has said it is glitchy. But if it is glitchy you can definitely return it and get a replacement. It is a unique different perspective of the game. As a Pokémon lover it was a great gift.

I have been a die hard Pokémon fan since their creation (yeah yeah I’m old lol) and after Arceus I was so excited for this game. While I enjoy playing the game I’m disappointed in it. It lags a lot and it’s constantly glitching. I’ve had a few times where the game just shut off in the middle of my play through for no reason. Nintendo/developers could have delayed the release for this game to get it working properly rather than just releasing it and then slowly making updates to it. I love Pokémon and I always will but this game is annoying/frustrating currently due to all the issues.

This game is extremely poor in both quality and gameplay compared to previous versions. The open world aspect is too demanding on the system resulting in constant low FPS and lost connection. The game itself is extremely glitch-prone and laggy. I would have preferred that they delayed the released to focus on delivering an amazing game instead of rushing this final product. Even after a month since its released, they have not addressed the issues and I doubt they will in the future. If you are looking forward to this, don't expect much from the game.

If you’re a true fan to the franchise, I know you will truly enjoy and get the best out of these games. Despite the bugs, glitches and the poor graphics, the games have a very solid story. I love the characters and their unique personalities. Every time I played, I kept investing more of my time into to it and was never bored of playing. If you’re looking for a game to get you to pick-up your switch again, this is game for you.

yes the game has bugs and minor issues to be fixed, but nothing so terrible as to ruin the whole experience. the story is easily the best in the series so far; i didn’t have the highest expectations to be honest, but the plot was so so good. shiny hunting is actually doable to the average player now thanks to mass outbreaks and sandwich powers — still have to work for it, but your odds are much better. i admit the world almost felt too big and somewhat empty at times, but you get over that pretty fast. local multiplayer isn’t so good but online is much better. definitely worth picking up at least one version if you’re a pokémon fan. also best grass starter by far.

The game doesn't run reliably. The camera jumps around to the same spot even right after repositioning, it glitches, none of the movements seem smooth, etc. Nintendo should have delayed the release by a year or two to address these issues instead of releasing a nearly unplayable game. Also, what happened to games being on the cartridge you purchased? Shouldn't the cartridge be more than a digital key I use to down load something? After my personal all time favorite game in Arceus I was super excited but it just wasn't ready to be released.

My expectations were extremely low going in. I’ve been playing Pokémon games for the past 16 years so I’d say I’m heavily invested in the franchise and the quality of their games. I disliked all of the trailers that dropped before the game so I wasn’t expecting it to be good. HOWEVER, I have had more fun playing these games than the last few entries and I haven’t even broken very far into the post game yet. I can easily see myself racking up more hours in this game than Legends Arceus, Sword/Shield, AND Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl combined. I will say that the bugs, while prominent, do not break the game or ruin the overall experience, if you can overlook graphical issues here and there. I would say that it’s totally unacceptable for them to release a game with these graphical issues, but the quality content allows me to almost entirely overlook them.

The glitches are annoying and the game doesn’t feel complete. There’s a lot of room for improvement since it shows that the developers didn’t put the same amount of quality standards as their previous games.

Playing for 20 hours so far, about a week after release. The game is very visually glitchy and if you believe that will harm your experience, it hasn’t harmed mine. If you want, you can wait a few months until some of that is fixed. That being said, the gameplay loop, the 3 stories, the world and exploration through it, and all the new Pokémon are amazing and I recommend picking up the game.
