Polly Pocket Collector Stranger Things Compact, Special Edition Dolls and Playset

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Okay, so this Stranger Things Polly Pocket set is seriously so cool! It's like, the perfect mix of retro vibes and 80s nostalgia. The box opens up to reveal a mini version of Hawkins and Upside Down. The details are crazy! It's super cute and fun, and you get tiny little figures of the characters that you can move around, which is perfect if you're a fan of the show and love miniatures. Plus, it’s a great throwback to those old-school Polly Pockets from when we were little! Even as a mom, I totally geeked out over all the tiny details. The set feels like a collector's item, especially for Stranger Things fans who want something unique and fun to show off. It’s a super fun way to combine two of the best things ever: Polly Pockets and Stranger Things.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I should start by saying neither myself nor my kids have ever watched the show Stranger Things. But as a millennial who grew up in the 90s, the tiny Polly Pockets were one of my favorite toys, and I have enjoyed purchasing them for my young girls. This set is very well made, with scenes on both sides of the walkie talkie. It was great that the set came with six characters, so there are plenty to play with, as well as 10 accessories. The tiny pancakes and different colored bicycles are especially fun, although it was a bit difficult to place the character on the bike itself. The walkie talkies are TINY and easy to lose track of, especially on the darker “Upside Down” side. I assumed our love for Polly Pockets would be enough that my girls could just play with this set without any knowledge of the show, despite it not being the typical characters or background you’d expect in a girl’s collectible. The Easter egg details are intricate, like the living room, flag that can go up and down, bike ride through the forest, castle and sensory deprivation tank. And while it isn’t a toy we personally totally understand, the quality and distinct parts make this a toy any fan of the show would definitely enjoy and appreciate.

Polly Pocket is so nostalgic for it first came out when I was a kid. Now they have collaborated with one of the best Netflix shows out there. It just combines the best of 2 brands to make one awesome collectible for all the 80s/90s kids out there.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Amazingly fun! The details are perfect and just like the movie. We had a great time reenacting the scenes from the shoe. The characters are spot on to the show and the bikes add a special touch. The upside down side was equally as fun!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter has enjoyed playing with this set. The stranger things theming is done very wheel throughout the set. The set comes shipped in very cool packaging with throwbacks to the 80s time period the show is set in. This made it a very cool unboxing for my daughter. The case is well made and provides a nice play area for the figures. She really liked the fact that one side has Hawkins and the other side clearly shows the upside down. This led her to have extended fun taking characters between worlds. The figures feel sturdy and made to last.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] No hyperbole - this is THE best Polly Pocket toy EVER. The Stranger Things Compact is a walkie-talkie when closed. The antenna moves up and down, which is a cool feature. When you open it up, it is a divided setting. Half is the regular world with a road, fort, living room with holiday lights, and even the sensory deprivation kiddie pool in the gym! The other half is the Upside Down, a mirror version but dark. There is a “portal” in the partition where you can push the characters through to the other side. The attention to detail cannot be overstated. Everything in this compact pays tribute to Stranger Things season 1. Now onto the characters: you get all five of the original kids. Eleven comes with an adorable wig! They are the old-style Polly Pockets, which are the bodies that bend on a hinge. You also get bicycles and accessories, including an adorable teeny tiny walkie-talkie that fits in the figures’ hands. Best of all, you get a beautifully detailed, creepy Demogorgan! My one, slight hangup with the design is that it is difficult to fully close with all the figures and accessories inside. I managed to close it up, but it took some time to maneuver the pieces just right. As a 40 year old woman, this is the legitimately the best Polly Pocket toy that I have ever owned, and I owned a lot as a kid. My 8 and 9 year old sons LOVE playing with it. It really is a gender-neutral toy that people of all ages can enjoy. If you can stand to open the beautiful collector box, you will have loads of fun!

He kind of chucked it’s a Polly Pocket but little did he know I watched as he played with it for quite some time. Wink wink. It is pretty cute aka cool.

My husband and I appreciated the attention to detail (we know the show) and how neat it was that there was a "portal" where you can go into The Upside Down. The characters are great, really well done. The little pieces to interact with kept my daughter entertained for over an hour. The only reason she stopped was because of bedtime, and she asked to play with it again the next day.

The toy was not really functional it didn’t do much for my kids. She lost interest quick on it and move on to do something else. License is on point though so that’s plus.

My child in this toy age range does not know what "Stranger Things" is but she still enjoyed playing with the 6 characters and all of the accessories included in this kit. With 6 "dolls," bikes, walkie talkies, and other accessories there is a lot of play packed in this tiny toy.

It’s perfect for little hands and all the cute details make it that much more fun! The miniature characters have small walkie-talkies and bicycles that actually stand on their own! There are secret passages between the two compartments of the game and so many little details to discover. This toy is fun, simple to set up and its packing can be used as a display case, when the set is not in use, and the instructions are all included! This is a collectors dream!

The compact size makes it easy to bring along on trips. The small pieces could be a concern for younger children.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Stranger Things Edition Polly Pocket exceeded my expectations drastically, unboxing it alone was so much fun and had aome really cute surprises like the "VHS" tape in the VCR that contained the accessories. I love the detail that went into the design of this, everything from the little figures to the background. I loved that the "Upside Down" was included as well as little walkie talkies and bicycles. This really is a fun playset that provides playtime for both Stranger Things fans, parents, and kids to enjoy. I can definitely see this becoming a collectors piece as well! This is an all around great value that will be played with for years to come.

We are a Polly Pocket household for sure, but this was a nice departure from the traditionally girly sets. My kids immediately became obsessed with learning all about Stranger Things to know about the characters they were playing with each day. This set had everything; characters could pass through into the upside down, each kid had a bike, and the demogorgon was included. My daughter thought the packaging was awesome for how things stayed stored. I thought it was awesome because it was retro and fit the 1980's theming perfectly. We recently went on a road trip to several states, and this set was a must for the trip. It's small size and number of pieces made it the perfect full toy for fun and travel. My kids are even asking for new sets from Santa...so we're going to need some more sets available on the market soon. :)

Watching my kids explore a similar toy that I had as a child is so much fun! They love the Stranger Things design and pieces. First off, the details are incredible! You have the set designed like a walkie talkie that has an antenna that pulls up. It opens to reveal Hawkins on one side and the “Upside Down” Hawkins on the other. You have all the main kid characters from the show. The character figures can be placed on bicycles and hold the little walkie talkies. Eleven has her blonde wig and a plate of waffles. There is also a Demogorgon figure. I love the packaging as well and the fact that you can rearrange it to put this on display. Overall, this is a neat little toy that can easily be taken with you in the car or on an outing. I would recommend it to any Stranger Things or Polly Pocket fan!

The only thing I’m not a huge fan of is, not all the little pieces fit in the walkie talkie for storage. I was able to fit everything but the little bikes, so that’s better than nothing!! Overall, we have really enjoyed this toy so far!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 12 year old daughter loves the show Stranger Things. She was so excited when she received the Polly Pocket Collector Stranger Things Compact! First the packaging was so beautifully done she didn’t even want to open it. Of course after a few minutes she dove in and opened the box. The compact itself is so detailed and so accurate to the show she absolutely loved it. She really looked closely at all the pieces and thought it was so well done. My favorite part is that I got to watch my 12 year old play with a toy! After she spent quite a bit of time checking everything out she started to play out some of the scenes. She later was joined by her brother and they made up some of their own storylines. It was great! I can’t recommend this toy enough!
