Polly Pocket Keepsake Collection Mermaid Dreams Collectible Compact, Under-The-Sea Theme

The Mermaid Dreams compact is very cute. It comes with 2 dolls and a “pearl” ring that children can wear. The front gate inside the compact can actually open and close. The treasure chest opens to reveal gold treasure, and the clam opens to reveal a pearl ring. The dolls can be stored inside the compact. It takes a bit of pressure to get the dolls to stick in the divots, but they do stick. There are so many little details on this set, and I definitely recommend it.

I bought this toy for my daughter because it reminded me of the poly pockets I grew up with. The people are real plastic not that gummy material so right away it's a better quality compared to other new poly pocket versions! I also appreciate that like the old bluebird polypockets all the people and bits and pieces fold up into the poly pocket case and you can close it easily. The other "new version" poly pockets have too many loose bits and pieces that don't fit in the compacts when you close them. If more keepsake collection polly pockets come out I will definitely consider buying them for my daughter and her friends. The pieces are small so it wouldn't be suitable for an infant.

Unfortunately there were only a few accessories and because thsl're so small it was very easy to lose. My daughter enjoyed it for a few days, but was over it pretty quick.

It has a place for them to sleep as well as sea creatures friends. It also has a ring to it. I love the color palette.

She plays with the set constantly and loves the little pearl ring that comes with it. It has cute little doors to open and shut and is brightly colored and attractive.

I love that the mermaids have a few different places they snap in and stand upright. The adorable ring that comes with it is really the icing on the cake. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this set as much as my daughter does! This Keepsake Collection got me hard with the nostalgia, and I adore it. While this is a new set design, it reminds me of the Polly Pocket I played with as a girl. My daughter thinks it is so fun to be able to play with a toy like I had when I was her age! The details on this set are absolutely incredible. Each strand of hair, each golden coin, each jellyfish is crafted to perfection. And everything sparkles! There is so much shimmer and glitter. The holographic background catches the light in the prettiest way. The dolls have the sweetest smiles, and the pretty pearl ring is a nice bonus that can be worn even when not playing with the set. We played with this set for a long while on its own, and then we brought in some of the newer Polly Pocket dolls and sets. These mermaid dolls fit well in the more modern sets, and vice versa. We enjoyed having some "visitors from land" and showing them around the mermaids' house. This is a beautiful set. The packaging is lovely and really hits the classic vibe. It would look great if you wanted to display it on a shelf, but it's also a really fun set to play with, too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Polly Pocket Keepsake Collection Mermaid toy is the perfect size for small hands and is jam packed with colorful background items for a child to use with the two mini mermaids included. It also includes a ring which my 3 year old loved best and has not taken off since opening it. She also loved the movable attached parts that she could manipulate. She loves to carry it around when we get in the car so she can play with it while we drive. She just has to be reminded to make sure all items are in the shell correctly so it closes all the way

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 2-year old and 4-year old love this product! In fact they fought over it (thanks goodness it came with two mermaids!). It was easy to remove from the packaging. As usual, with Polly Pocket items there are little containers that can be opened. In this case there was a cute theme with a treasure chest, clamshell chair, and seahorse to ride. Also my kids liked how there were little spots you could place the mermaids in for staging! The colors on this product were appealing and the gold was even shiny! Nice details such as a “pearl in the oyster”.

The two Polly mermaids are actually plastic which is great - unlike recent ones which were that gummy material. The colors and the visual effects are lovely. This has made being a baseball season sister bearable while she sits at the field and plays with her Polly Pocket. I took off 2 stars because outside of the clam shell opening to gift you a wearable (on your pinky finger) ring, nothing else moves or slides or is interactive.

The box is beautifully done in an under the sea theme. I think it made it more exciting for my little one to receive. It was a big hit. The compact itself is very detailed, nice quality and colorful. The mermaids have many things to do! One of the favorites was when the pearl ring was discovered. It was immediately put on and is still being worn. I can see this traveling well. It's the perfect size. If your child loves mermaids and anything sea related, this should let their imagination run wild.

I loved Polly Pocket when I was my daughters age, 8, and this keepsake collection is a wonderful devotion to the Polly Pockets of my childhood buts it’s also timeless enough that my daughter delights in playing with it too. The boxing was an aesthetic pleasure as well with the sea like background and plastic casing intermixed with the cardboard to make it feel like you were peering into an aquarium. One of my favorite parts of this particular Polly Pocket is the cute little surprise in the shell. It’s a fake pearl ring. I loved the idea and thought it was clever but was a bit disappointed to find that it doesn’t fit my 8 year olds fingers well, it’s too small. It fits my 4 year olds fine though. I did take one star off of my rating because I had a difficult time getting the figures to click into place and stand without falling over. Overall I recommend this to any Polly Pocket fan, old, young, or in between. It’s a wonderful blast from the past that stands the test of time and delivers great portable fun.

Even though this toy is small, it really has a way of bringing out your child’s imagination. There’s so much to see including the treasure chest full of gold, the bright pink jellyfish, and the little shell that holds a pearl ring your child can wear. The mermaids can sit on the shells inside, take a nap by the seahorse gate, or they can “stand” in the imprinted areas that their tails fit in. My toddler adores this Mermaid Dreams Compact from the Polly Pocket Keepsake Collection, and I love playing with it with her.
